PrizePicks recently added prediction markets to its offerings. At the moment, you can make forecasts on sports, politics, and culture. I had to put together this PrizePicks prediction markets review after seeing the available event contracts.
PrizePicks Predict didn't offer me any welcome bonus for making team and culture predictions after signing up, which is a bummer. However, you can still snag rewards by referring your friends. Also, the site regularly offers match deposit bonuses to eligible traders. This review discusses how PrizePicks works, including its payment methods, customer support, security, legitimacy, and website usability.
I'll rate PrizePicks 4.5/5 due to its numerous impressive offerings. I like how the prediction categories are clearly separated. The team pick section is dedicated solely to sports predictions. Alternatively, traders interested in forecasting other real-world events can focus on the culture picks section.
With only $0.01 to $1, you can make predictions at PrizePicks Predict. Once your forecast is correct, you'll receive $1. I also like that you don't need to wait for an event to occur after making predictions. If your contract price rises or starts to tank, you can flip it and sell to cut your losses or lock in your reward. These are my reasons for giving PrizePicks a 4.5/5 rating. I'd bump the rating to 4.8/5 if it has a welcome bonus for team and culture picks.
How does PrizePicks works
Late last year, PrizePicks introduced prediction markets following a partnership with Kalshi (a renowned prediction brand). This is similar to the arrangement I discovered during my FanDuel prediction markets review.
With this arrangement, PrizePicks Predict lists Kalshi's real-world events in its team and culture picks section. The team and culture prediction markets have been integrated into the PrizePicks app, so you don't have to hop between applications.
However, your zip code matters. For instance, team prediction markets are live in only 34 states. On the other hand, the culture prediction markets are available in 48 states, excluding Nevada and Arizona.
The legal side is locked in, too. Kalshi is regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). As such, the team and culture prediction markets at PrizePicks are all CFTC-regulated. However, PrizePicks uses a subsidiary, Performance Predictions II, LLC, to keep everything above board. This company is registered as a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) with the National Futures Association (NFA).
These Kalshi and PrizePicks regulations ensure the site can offer prediction markets without breaking the law.
A detailed look at the PrizePicks team and culture prediction markets
As already established, PrizePicks Predict offers team and culture prediction markets. However, before discussing these two prediction markets, let's get into the nitty-gritty of how prediction works.
Prediction sites let traders buy and sell contracts on real-world events. These contracts fall into various categories, including politics, sports, cryptocurrencies, the economy, culture, and climate, among others. These are also the markets I found during my Fanatics prediction markets review.
All you need to do is make a Yes/No prediction on the event contract. Note that prediction sites operate a peer-to-peer system. Simply put, rather than trading against the site, you instead trade with other traders. Therefore, contract prices usually fluctuate with traders’ perceptions of the event's outcome, often referred to as the probability.
Once a contract is settled, the trader will receive the payout, often $1. Keep in mind that the displayed probabilities may differ due to liquidity and bid-ask spreads. Also, note that if you didn't predict correctly, there won't be any payout. Event prices usually range from $0.01 to $1, similar to what I noticed during my Underdog Markets prediction markets review.
The best part? You don't have to wait till your contract settles. You can sell your contract if the price increases. On the flip side, you can sell the event contract as the price declines to minimize losses. The CFTC regulates reputable prediction sites to offer prediction markets in the US.
Now that I've explained PrizePicks trading, here's what to know about the team and culture prediction markets:
🏀 Team Picks
Team picks are PrizePicks’ sports prediction markets. Here, you flex your sports knowledge by forecasting real-world sports events, ranging from soccer, basketball, tennis, football, golf, hockey, and cricket, among others.
You can predict who wins a match, how many total points in a game, and who's walking away with awards. Making a team prediction is a walk in the park at PrizePicks Predict. All you need to do is choose a contract and pick either Yes or No according to your perceived probability of the event happening.
Note that some markets have multiple contracts. For instance, I predicted who would win the Michelsen vs Fritz professional tennis match in the 2026 ATP Indian Wells round of 32. When I clicked on this sports market, I found multiple contracts for categories like spread, total, and props (exact match score), alongside the main contract, each with its own probability, Yes price, and No price.
I picked Alex Michelsen to win 2-0 in the props (exact match score) contract and made a Yes forecast for 88 cents. Once the match concluded and Alex Michelsen won 2-0, the contract was settled, and I received $1.
Whether you're looking at props, futures, awards, championships, matchups, divisions, conference tournaments, drafts, set winner, playoffs, or group leader, the team pick section is stacked.
🎭 Culture Picks
If you're not into sports, no need to fret. You can make forecasts on other real-world events, such as the Grammys, Hollywood blockbusters, headline elections, climate, the economy, crypto, gas prices, and politics.
While browsing through the culture section during my PrizePicks prediction markets review, I found various markets on politics, including interest rates, elections, and Trump. I made a forecast for the 2028 US Republican presidential nominee.
After making forecasts on politics, I moved to the economic section and found markets on employment, inflation, GDP growth, oil and energy, and more. One of the forecasts I made here includes how high unemployment will get in 2026.
If you're a chart watcher, the crypto section includes markets for popular cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. I found event contracts on crypto prices. For instance, I forecasted when Bitcoin would hit $150K.
PrizePicks Predict’s culture section contains numerous markets on awards, the Grammys, movies, Rotten Tomatoes, music charts, video games, and television. I predicted who would win the Oscar for Best Actor between Timothee Chalamet, Michael B Jordan, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
The last section I checked is climate. I saw several markets with weather-related contracts in many US states and cities, including Minneapolis, New York City, Chicago, Austin, Miami, and Boston.
Climate markets at PrizePicks Predict cover daily temperatures, climate change, rain and snow, high/low temperatures, hurricanes, and natural disasters. The first forecast I made in this section is whether it'll snow in Boston this month.

No welcome bonus for new PrizePicks prediction traders
I didn't receive any welcome bonus after signing up at PrizePicks Predict to make team and culture picks. When you launch the PrizePicks app for the first time, you'll find a Play $5, Get $50 welcome bonus staring you in the face.
Don't be fooled. This offer is strictly for Player Picks. If Player Picks is also supported in your state and you choose to grab this bonus, note that you will need to enter the PrizePicks promo code on the promo page to claim the reward.
That said, new PrizePicks Predict traders who make team and culture picks will need to fund their accounts. There's no sign-up offer for team and culture picks on the app.
Other promotions for existing PrizePicks prediction traders
Although I was bummed about the lack of a welcome bonus to make team and culture picks at PrizePicks, the prediction site offers other promotions, including:
Refer a Friend
You can refer your friends to PrizePicks Predict and enjoy rewards. But here's the kicker: you can't use the reward to make team and culture picks.
Instead, it's strictly used for Player Picks. This promotion is suitable for PrizePicks traders living in states where Player Picks is available. You can run the referral bonuses back up to ten times within 30 days.
Deposit Match Bonuses
Based on information I found on the site during this PrizePicks prediction markets review, the prediction site regularly offers deposit match bonuses, so keep a sharp eye on your notifications.
PrizePicks is big on dropping personalized offers, and if you're eligible for the promo, you'll be notified directly. Since these are promotions tailored specifically to you, the maximum bonus amount and deposit match will likely vary by trader.

Once the event happens, PrizePicks Predict will settle the contract, and you'll receive your payout if your prediction is correct. Keep in mind that PrizePicks Predict will charge you between $0.005 to $0.02 as trading fees for each contract you buy or sell.
Also, you can't make multiple predictions at once, as PrizePicks Predict doesn't support parlay forecasts. Instead, your team and culture picks are single selections.
Numerous secure payment methods for seamless deposits and withdrawals at PrizePicks
The PrizePicks banking section is stacked with numerous secure payment methods for fast, seamless transactions. I found a mix of popular transaction channels for team and culture picks, including Visa debit cards, Mastercard debit cards (not supported in South Carolina), instant bank transfer, and Apple Pay (only for deposits using Visa and Mastercard debit cards).
Here's where it gets tricky: depositing with some payment methods may hinder you from making team and culture predictions. For instance, if you deposit using payment methods that support all paid pick types on the site, you can use your funds to make team and culture picks alongside other available pick options in the PrizePicks app.
However, if you use a deposit method acceptable only for Player Picks, such as PayPal, Venmo, American Express, or credit cards, you can't use those funds on the prediction markets, in line with regulations.
Deposits at PrizePicks Predict are instant, and the prediction site won't charge you any fee. However, withdrawals take longer and require clearing additional verification hoops.
You can request a payout to your bank account or the payment method used to deposit into your PrizePicks account. Depending on your preferred withdrawal method, you may receive your payout within 5 days, but it can hit your account sooner once verification and processing are complete.
The minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts at PrizePicks are $10.
PrizePicks' website is functional and mobile-friendly
PrizePick features a modern website with a purple-and-white color scheme on a dark background, making it easy on the eyes. The second you land on the homepage, you'll find a list of available picks (player, team, and culture) plus a massive image of the app, because that's where the magic happens.
Although the welcome offer is plastered on the homepage, just a gentle reminder that it's for Player Picks. You'll find a link to download the PrizePicks app suitable for your mobile device on the website. Keep scrolling down to see the availability map.
Although PrizePicks is technically available in all 50 US states, you can't make player, team, or culture picks in some states. Check the map to see if your state is cleared for your chosen PrizePicks product.
At the top of the screen are crucial sections like pick now, how to play, resources, research, and promos. If you click the how to play button and select team and culture, you'll find all the information you need about how to make predictions on the site. The resources section includes information on deposits, withdrawals, and eligibility, among other topics.
In the website footer, you'll find relevant sections such as live support, payouts, download the app, predict regulatory, deposits, withdrawals, and eligibility. The PrizePicks app is optimized for mobile devices. As such, you can register on the site using your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet.

A dedicated mobile app for PrizePicks prediction traders
The PrizePicks website is fine for a quick scroll. However, to make team and culture picks, the mobile app is non-negotiable. The prediction brand features the app on its website footer.
Don't go searching for a separate app for Player Picks and Team and Culture Picks. If you already have the PrizePicks app, you'll find the team and culture section in it.
During my PrizePicks app review, I found that the application is available for download on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The ratings don't lie, as the app has a 4.5-star rating on the Play Store and a 4.7-star rating on the App Store.
After downloading and installing the apps, I found they mirror the website, especially in its design, layout, and colors. However, PrizePicks recently updated the apps. As such, it's significantly faster than the website.
Excellent customer support for the PrizePicks team and culture traders
If you're trading team and culture markets and run into a glitch, you can reach the PrizePicks support team through live chat and email.
The live chat support team responds within ten minutes. Although I've made forecasts on prediction sites with faster response times than PrizePicks Predict, the live chat agents are professional and don't hit you with robotic responses.
I received detailed responses that made the lengthy wait time worthwhile. The best part is that if you leave and minimize the window, you'll also receive an email with the responses, so that you won't lose the conversation thread.
Besides live chat, you can send an email to PrizePicks. I often use this contact method to send a detailed message when I have a bone to pick. PrizePicks typically replies to emails within 24 hours.
If you don't have the patience to wait for email replies, you can browse through the help center. When you click the help center button, you'll find two sections: Rules/FAQs and live support.
If you tap the live support button, it'll take you to the chat page. However, the Rules/FAQs are the holy grail for questions about registration, verification, terms of service, how to make picks, accounts, deposits, withdrawals, and promotions.
Also, PrizePicks is active on many social media platforms, including Discord, X, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. You can join the Discord group to get help from the community or send a DM to any of PrizePicks’ social media accounts.
PrizePicks is legit and secure
If you're worried whether PrizePicks Predict is legitimate, take a breather. The prediction brand partnered with Kalshi (a prediction market giant) to offer fully CFTC-regulated event contracts.
As such, PrizePicks Predict is regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. PrizePicks offers prediction markets through Performance Predictions II, LLC, a company registered as a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) with the National Futures Association (NFA). Simply put, the prediction brand has jumped through every legal loop to ensure your trades are safe.
Note that culture picks are available to traders in all US states except Nevada and Arizona. On the other hand, team picks are only accessible in 34 US states. You'll see all available and restricted states on the map on the website homepage.
When it comes to security, PrizePicks isn't playing around with your data. The prediction brand uses SSL encryption to protect traders’ information from third parties. You can also enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for additional security. Traders are mandated to complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification to increase account security.
Conclusion – Make Yes or No forecasts on PrizePicks' team and culture markets
After checking out the app's offerings throughout this PrizePicks prediction markets review, the brand has become my go-to app for making Yes-or-No forecasts on real-world events.
Once you're at least 19, you can sign up on the app and start making predictions at PrizePicks Predict. Although you won't find bonuses for team and culture picks, PrizePicks occasionally offers personalized deposit match bonuses.
Deposits and withdrawals are fast and secure, thanks to the numerous payment methods. If you hit a snag, the live chat agent may take up to ten minutes to reply, but the responses are worth the wait. Click the banners on this page to download the PrizePicks app and sign up to start making team and culture picks.
