Underdog Predictions Review 2026: Is Underdog Fantasy legit?

There’s a lot to get through in my Underdog Prediction market review, so let’s not waste any time. Underdog is onto a winner with its new “Predict” event trading portal, for reasons set out over the course of this guide.

The main reason Underdog warrants your time is the fact that this is a sport-oriented prediction market trading tool, with more live and in-play fixtures than virtually any other platform I’ve tested. You can trade in other predictions on the Underdog app, too, be it culture, climate, or the economy, so there really is something for everyone here.

I’ve had a fantastic time testing Underdog, with the brand’s awesome new “Predict” product changing the game for users looking to flex their knowledge of sports, politics, finance, and more. Available in 32 states and backed by the CFTC, Underdog Predict presents a unique way to forecast upcoming events and lock in trades that could turn a profit. The fact that the product is available on a multi-device basis is also a plus point, and I would encourage eligible traders to check out the Underdog app. Granted, I would like to see some promotions added to Underdog’s offering sooner rather than later, but in fairness, the lack of bonuses isn’t a dealbreaker here.

Much like when drawing up my recent FanDuel Prediction Market review, I was equally stoked to bring you my in-depth rating of Underdog Predict. But before I turn my attention to the exciting elements of the site, I need to clear up the legal stuff first.

You see, Underdog Predict isn’t available in all US states, and there are certain rules and restrictions that differentiate it from other Underdog products. So, even if you’re already using the brand’s Pick’Em, Drafts, or Champions portals, that doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be eligible to use Predict.

In which states can you use Underdog Predict in the USA?

The good news is that Predict from Underdog is available in 32 US states right now, so that’s decent coverage for a prediction market platform of this caliber. I’ll talk more about the brand’s specific Know Your Customer (KYC) verification requirements later, but you will need to prove that you live in a legal state, so that’s worth considering.

At the time of writing, Underdog Predict is available in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Underdog regulations and licensing: What’s the score?

You don’t need me to tell you that Underdog Predict is a totally different kettle of fish from other products on the UD platform. That’s why I was keen to get the measure of the brand’s regulatory and licensing status.

It turns out Underdog utilizes the uber-popular NADEX d/b/a Crypto, Inc. designated contract market to offer prediction market trading to its members. That’s a mouthful, I know, but you all need to know that this is a wholly legit exchange regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission – the federal body that oversees prediction market trading in the USA.

Those familiar with CFTC-approved prediction trading markets might wonder why Underdog Predict isn’t available in all US states, rather than just 32. Well, that’s because the brand hasn’t compromised on offering sports event trading to its members.

Of all the different prediction market topic classes out there, sports event trading is certainly the most hotly contested. That’s because some regional lawmakers see it as flying way too close to real-money sports betting, and so prohibit it in their jurisdictions. In the case of Underdog, sports event trading is in its DNA – hence why the brand is only available in 32 US states, not all 50.

      Is Underdog safe?

Sure, it’s safe. I’ve no qualms about the safety and security aspects of the Underdog portal, with the brand making all the right moves to safeguard the integrity of its platform. Indeed, it’s on par with the security provisions described in my recent Fanatic Markets prediction markets review.

From the moment you hit Underdog, the platform has a palpable premium edge, and this alone helps put your mind at ease. There’s the usual stuff like SSL encryption and two-factor authentication, too, while bespoke privacy preferences, transparent T&Cs, and upfront company info bring the credibility and accountability that new members will be looking for.

What’s the KYC verification process like at Underdog Predict?

Underdog doesn’t mess around when it comes to verifying the ID of its members. There’s a full KYC verification process in place to give your credentials, and that includes your ID, date of birth, and full-time residential address in a qualifying Predict-approved state.

I found the verification process at Underdog pretty darn streamlined on the whole, even if you do need to submit evidence to confirm a few account details. For instance, a government-issued ID is required to verify your name and date of birth, while the brand asks for a recent utility bill (or similar) to sign off on your physical location in an eligible territory.

Underdog Predict is a registered FCM offering event contracts. Trades may be placed on CDNA, a registered DCM, powered by UDM Services, LLC. Trading involves significant risk and is not appropriate for all. Must be a U.S. resident. Terms apply: underdogpredict.com. Content is promotional and is not a recommendation to trade.

How does Underdog Predict work? Event trading explained

So, it’s safe, right? Good. With all that legal stuff boxed off, it’s time to move on and take a closer look at how Predict from Underdog actually works.

      Event trading at Underdog Predict

Guess what? Underdog Predict is all about making predictions on upcoming events. You can make all kinds of forecasts on the platform, but I’ll get to the various prediction markets available at Underdog in a short while.

With prediction market trading at Underdog, you’re essentially buying (or selling) positions on “Yes” or “No” derivative contracts that relate to different events. In layman’s terms, that means predicting whether you think an event is likely to happen (“Yes”) or not (“No”).

Here’s a quick example just so everyone’s on the same page:

Let’s say that you predict that the Knicks will trump the Pacers in their upcoming NBA bout; in this case, you would buy one or more “Yes” positions on the event contract “the Knicks to win vs the Pacers”.

So, what happens if you’re right?

Since Underdog uses Crypto.com’s event trading platform, all correct event predictions are resolved at $1 for each contract you own. So, if you bought 10 contracts and guessed correctly, you would receive $10.

That brings me to probability and contract pricing. You see, there’s a clever way of gauging how likely an event is to happen by its per-contract price. Each derivatives contract available to buy at Underdog Predict is valued from $0.01 to $1; the lower the price, the lower the probability, and the higher the potential profit.

Let’s say your “the Knicks to win vs the Pacers” contract was priced at $0.60, and you purchased 100 of them. This would cost $60, but you would have the potential to win $100 if the Knicks did out-hoop the Pacers – giving you $40 in profit.

But what about if the Pacers win? In that case, you would lose only the value of your $60 trade, nothing more.

The value of individual event trading contracts at Underdog Predict can change right up until an event is 100% resolved, which is part of what makes it so exciting. You can also choose to sell positions early if you get cold feet – perhaps when the Pacers are on the front foot deep into the fourth quarter, for example.

I promised a look at the various prediction market topic classes available at Underdog Predict, so here we are. Of course, this being a sport-oriented platform, sports event trading is the main order of business at Underdog. But there are other markets to make predictions on, too, be it culture, climate, or economics.

With that said, here’s a closer look at some of the different trading markets and topic classes available at Underdog Predict:

      Sports event trading

Think the Vikings will score more touchdowns than the Rams? You can trade on that. Confident that the Blue Jays will out-swing the Mariners? You can make predictions on that, too.

Underdog Predict lets you buy/sell sports event trading positions on an awesome variety of sports, leagues, and fixtures. At the time of writing, I discovered the following markets were available to trade on at the platform:

      • NFL
      • NBA
      • MLB
      • NHL
      • College football
      • College basketball
      • Soccer
      • Tennis

It’s not just outright winner predictions that you can make at Underdog Predict, either. The platform offers a subset of trading options, covering everything from point spreads and props to futures and totals.

      For example:

      • Will Josh Allen rush for a touchdown?
      • Will the Red Wings score the opening goal?
      • The Dodgers to claim the World Series in 2026

Culture prediction markets at Underdog Predict

If you’re someone who likes flexing your knowledge of movies, music, or pop culture in general, you’ll love the various “Culture” prediction markets at Underdog Predict. This is your place to forecast which movie will win the Academy Award for Best Picture, to guess which songs will make the Billboard Hot 100 list, or to predict the key winners and losers at this year’s Grammy Awards.

In my experience, award season definitely sees a lot of trading volume on platforms like Underdog Predict, but you can make culture predictions on the site throughout the year, too. For instance, you can predict the newly-released films that will perform best at the Box Office.

      Making economics predictions at Underdog

Consider yourself a connoisseur of economics? Flex your knowledge of financials by trading in “Yes/No” derivatives contracts in Underdog’s “Economics” topic class category. You can forecast everything from the Federal Reserve’s quarterly decision on interest rates to the companies you think will perform best on the NASDAQ over a full calendar year. It’s even possible to predict peaks and troughs in the value of cryptocurrencies, so there’s plenty for the economically-minded to sink their teeth into.

A look at Underdog Predict’s climate event trading

Rounding out Underdog’s prediction marketing portfolio comes climate, where you can predict everything from global temperature averages to the chance of snowfall in your hometown. I found that there was a decent mix of both short and long-term climate prediction markets available here, so you can focus either on speedy, day-to-day guesses like rainfall averages and max daily temperatures or else look ahead and forecast things like sea level changes and hottest-year-on-record stats.

Usability and performance at Underdog Predict

With prediction markets drawing ever closer to the mainstream, I’ve found myself testing more and more of them in recent months, with my recent PrizePicks prediction markets review being a great example of this. So, how does Underdog Predict compare to similar platforms, specifically from a user experience and performance perspective?

In a word? Awesome. Because Underdog is already a well-established platform, its “Predict” product has slid right into the mix. It has a high-impact, premium feel that’s both slick and no-nonsense at the same time, and that leaves no room for guesswork. Switching between the different modes is a breeze (provided you’re eligible), while browsing the various markets and topic classes never feels like a chore when the site design and typography are this good.

Make predictions on desktop or mobile – the choice is yours

Underdog offers the best of both worlds through its browser-based site and optional mobile app for iOS and Android. The brand nails its on-the-go event trading experience, with clutter-free interfaces tailored to small-screen devices. But then, if you feel like switching things up or you want to open your laptop for some serious pre-trade research and analysis, you can take care of that on the brand’s streamlined desktop site, too.

Are there any promotions for Underdog Predict traders?

So, you’re looking for an Underdog promo code, are you? Well, while these might be available for other UD products and portals, Predict isn’t exactly well-known for offering the kind of aggressive promos you might associate with gambling and sportsbook platforms online.

Since Underdog Predict is part of the CFTC-approved Crypto.com network, it's bound by the regulatory compliance rules and restrictions of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. That means its hands are tied on the issue of promotions, with the brand very limited to the kind of incentives and rewards it can offer to its new and returning members without falling foul of the CFTC.

So, are there any rewards to unlock at Underdog Predict?

Not exactly, no. While you can pick up some promos at Underdog, these generally only apply to the brand’s Pick’Em, Champions, and Drafts products – not its prediction market.

I should note at this point that Underdog Predict has only been up and running for a couple of weeks or so at this point, with the brand officially launching its prediction market as of March 2026. If nothing else, that could signal that its full suite of rewards and promos hasn’t yet come to fruition.

In the future, I think we might see bonuses like the following at Underdog Predict:

      🤝 Refer-a-Friend Bonus

Referral rewards are well within the remit of reputable prediction markets like Underdog Predict. For instance, you could get free trading credit when you invite friends to join the platform and deposit a pre-determined sum.

      🎉 Welcome Credit Boost

While sign-up promos are relatively uncommon at prediction markets, some brands may choose to incentivize new sign-ups with a sum of free credit.

      🔄 Transferable Bonuses

In some instances, it may be possible to transfer winnings accrued from other Underdog promos into the Predict area of the site, rather than withdrawing them. If you qualify to use other Underdog products, this is a trick that’s worth looking out for.

Disclaimer: Trading derivatives involves risk and may not be appropriate for all. For more information visit: https://www.nadex.com/rules and https://underdogfantasy.com/rules. For Crypto.com Predictions, the term "pick" refers to a product traded on CDNA.

Making deposits and withdrawals at Underdog Predict

Much like when using a regular real-money sportsbook or casino, you’ll need to add funds to your Underdog Predict account before you can start trading in event contracts. These funds are stored in a secure digital wallet, ready to be used on your choice of prediction trades and contract purchases.

From the Underdog Predict app and website, you can manage your current balance of trading credit with ease, including a real-time overview of your withdrawable capital. A log of all your current positions can also be viewed and managed from this page, and this is where you’ll see any winnings/losses when a live trade is resolved.

      Depositing funds at Underdog Predict

I found that there are fewer deposit options on Underdog Predict than other UD products, but no sweat, as adding funds is still an easy, fuss-free experience. You can deposit using debit cards (Visa or Mastercard), Apple Pay (must be linked to a debit card), and online banking via Trustly (direct bank transfer); there’s a minimum deposit requirement of $10, with funds added instantly.

Making prediction market withdrawals at Underdog Predict

From your account screen, you can easily withdraw trade credits from Underdog Predict, provided all your positions are 100% resolved. Withdrawals from the site can be handled via debit card, Apple Pay, and online banking, with a $10 minimum withdrawal limit in place. I found that it takes Underdog around 72 hours to process withdrawal requests, with withdrawn funds added to your account a couple of days after that – so, you’re looking at around 5 to 7 business days on average.

What is customer service like at Underdog Predict?

Good news: Underdog Predict has an awesome live chat support channel, and this is available both on the main site and integrated in the brand’s iOS and Android mobile app. You’ll need to interact with an AI chatbot for the first couple of minutes, but mercifully, it is possible to get through to a real person should you need it.

While live chat is my go-to pick of the brand’s support options, you can also use an email support service for longer, more complex queries; there’s a 24-hour response time on average. It’s definitely worth using the Underdog support center, too, which I found to be packed with info and guidance on how to get the most from its Predict event trading product.

My final verdict on Underdog Predict

With a sports event trading focus and an outstanding mobile app, Underdog Predict looks set to cause serious waves in the USA’s burgeoning prediction markets landscape. Few other peer-to-peer event trading platforms that I’ve tested offer quite the same intuitive, mobile-friendly performance, or as comprehensive a sports event trading offering.

Don’t forget, too, that you can use Underdog Predict for more than just sports predictions. Thanks to its partnership with the CFTC-approved Crypto.com exchange, you can forecast and trade on all kinds of events, be it culture, climate, or the economy. Just make sure to read the brand’s T&Cs carefully, while always remaining mindful of the risks of event trading online.
