Round 14 of 18 in the South American World Cup Qualifiers, with Brazil playing host to Argentina in one of the oldest and most hateful match-ups in world soccer. Right now Argentina are sitting at the top of the 10-team Qualifier Group with 28 points (W9 D1 L3) and have already qualified to the World Cup. Brazil are sitting 3rd with 21 points (W6 D3 L4) and need just a few more points to mathematically qualify. There's no question whether they will qualify or not - they will. 

Argentina are +130 favourites at home, the Draw is at +200 and Brazil are +250 underdogs on the road, with the Asian Spread set at 0.25 and the Asian Total set at 2 or 1.75 depending on where you look. 

Both teams are missing key players, with Argentina missing both Lionel Messi and Lautaro Martinez up front, while Brazil are missing starting goalkeeper Alisson who got injured vs Colombia a few days ago, while Arsenal's CB Gabriel and Newcastle's midfielder Bruno Guimaraes are suspended. 

5 of 6 H2H matches in the last decade went to the Under 2.5 goals, with each of L/3 since 2021 going to the Under 1.5 Goals. They also played 3 friendlies in that span, with all 3 producing exactly 1 goal, so this is a match-up that rarely produces goals anymore, as these two are primarily looking to avoid losing against their arch rivals. 

There is no question whether these two will qualify, they will, and one might think that hey, it's Argentina vs Brazil, biggest teams in the world, they are stacked offensively, let's take the Over. H2H matches have been really tight as of late as these two are primarily fighting for bragging rights and not the qualification.
