Milwaukee Bucks vs Atlanta Hawks Analysis
The Atlanta Hawks take a trip to Milwaukee for an Eastern Conference clash with the Bucks. The Bucks lost their second game of the season on the road against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night. The Hawks are coming off a 121-109 road loss against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
This is third of four head-to-head matchups between these teams with them splitting the first two games. Milwaukee won 123-115 at home and lost 117-98 on the road in Atlanta. Tip-off is slated for 8:00 PM EST/5:00 PST.
Bucks Remain #1 In The East
The Milwaukee Bucks wrapped up a three game road trip with a 111-93 against the San Antonio Spurs. It was an injury-riddled Bucks team that played without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday.
Milwaukee shot just 32.7% from the field and 27.9% from beyond the arc. Jevon Carter led the team with 21 points while adding six assists while Brook Lopez pitched in with 19 points and a couple of blocks.
The Bucks own the NBA’s best record despite losing two of their last three games. Defense is the Bucks calling card as they allow a league low 104.2 points a game while holding opponents to a league low 43.6% from field. Offensively they rank could use some improvements as they rank only 23rd in scoring and 23rd in shooting.
Hawks Split With 76ers
The Atlanta Hawks are coming off a 121-109 road loss against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday after beating them at home 104-95 on Thursday. Trae Young paced his team in both points and assists with 27 & 11 respectively.
The newly acquired Dejounte Murray was right behind him with 23 points and 7 assists. Atlanta turned the ball over 19 times during the contest, which is the recipe for loss.
The Hawks rank 10th in scoring with just over 115 points a game on 45.4% from the field and 32.8% from beyond the arc. Atlanta ranks 18th in defensive scoring with 113.6 points allowed per game.
Bojan Bogdonavic has been ruled out for this game with a knee injury. To beat Milwaukee on the road again, the Hawks will need stellar defense to prove it wasn’t a fluke.
Milwaukee Bucks vs Atlanta Hawks Player Prop Pick
The Milwaukee Bucks are favored by 4 points over the Atlanta Hawks with a total set at 225.
This a great matchup between two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.
Trae Young seems to have the Bucks number as he scored 42 points on 15 of 32 from the field, 5 of 10 from long distance and 7 for 7 from the charity. The Bucks have one of the leagues elite defenses but they will be without the services of Jrue Holiday to go head up on Young.
In Young prior three games against Milwaukee he scored 27, 30 and 42 again. The total sits at 225 which means we should see plenty of scoring.
Young has point total set at 26.5 and he is only 6 for 12 clearing that on the season. However his success versus Milwaukee combined with the absence of Holiday will give Young plenty of opportunities to go up and over this total tonight.
