Georgia vs LSU Betting Analysis

In one of the more anticipated college football championship games on December 3rd, the Georgia Bulldogs will once again compete for the SEC Title, but this year will face Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers.

Not many knew what to make from LSU coming into this season with the team going 6-7 last year and only going 3-5 in conference play.

The team fired Ed Orgeron and brought in Brian Kelly but things got off to a rough start losing to Florida State in the opening week of college football after a blocked extra point left the Tigers one point short of tying the game.

The Tigers now stand 9-2 and 6-1 in conference play, but regardless of how they perform against Texas A&M, the Tigers will be in Atlanta on December 3rd.

Bulldogs Hungry For SEC Championship

The Bulldogs have a vengeance for this SEC Championship after failing to get the job done last year in the team’s only loss of the season going down 41-24 to Alabama.

They won’t get the Crimson Tide this time around but the revenge factor is still at-play. Georgia has been spectacular all season going 11-0 so far with scares only coming at Missouri on October 1st winning 26-22 and just this past week beating Kentucky in Lexington 16-6.

The Bulldogs defense is on-point again this season allowing a FBS best 11 points per game and are 5th in total yards allowed per game at 272. Stetson Bennett has been consistent as well again this season completing 68% of his passes totaling over 3,000 yards through the air and 14 touchdowns while adding seven touchdowns rushing.

In total, six different Bulldogs players have rushed for multiple touchdowns this season. LSU could have their hands full on offense as the team ranks only 7th in the conference in total yards generated per game and 6th in points scored per game.

Daniels Getting It Done For LSU

If LSU wants any shot at winning this game, they’ll need tons of production from quarterback Jayden Daniels who leads the team in both passing and rushing yards. He’s thrown for 15 touchdowns and only two interceptions this season while adding 740 yards rushing and 11 rushing touchdowns.

Look for Harold Perkins Jr. to try and cause some disruption in the Georgia backfield totaling 7.5 sacks so far this season and 57 total tackles which is tied for 2nd on the team.

One X-Factor to consider for LSU is running back Noah Cain who recently scored three touchdowns on the ground against UAB on 13 carries which is a season high for him.

If the Tigers want any shot at competing with the Bulldogs they’ll nee other playmakers to breakout besides Daniels and Cain posses as that threat if Georgia isn’t prepared for him.

Georgia vs LSU SEC Championship Prediction

Georgia is poised to make it back to the College Football Playoff and a win here would definitely solidify that. They won’t need any style points to impress the committee as the #1 team in the country.

LSU seems to have that “dog” mentality in them and aren’t in any hurry to shake that mindset. The Tigers are 7-4 against the spread this season and currently stand as 15-point underdogs to Georgia.

I’m looking at a 25-15 type of final score here so barring what happens in their game against Texas A&M, a play on the under and/or LSU +15 fits the bill.

Prediction: LSU +15 and/or Under 50.5
