Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Ian Happ (+600)

Ian Happ and the jumpstart Cubs host the Padres again tonight after shutting them out 6-0 at Wrigley Field last night.

Happ has excellent splits against Padres starter Michael Wacha going 4-11 with three of those four hits being home runs. Happ has two home runs on the season with the last coming back on April 14.

He hit 17 home runs last season as the switch hitter had much more success against right-handed pitching. He hit 15 of his 17 home runs against right handed pitching last season coming out to one every 30 at-bats.

Against lefties last season he had one home run every 64 at-bats. Wacha has been generous to hitters this season with a 7.08 ERA including three home runs given up in 20.1 innings pitched.

Get Happ to hit a home run at +600 with other Cubs to consider include Patrick Wisdom (+370) and Dansby Swanson (+600).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Wilmer Flores (+600)

Steven Matz trots back out for the Cardinals tonight getting blown up in his two road starts so far this season. In those starts he’s allowed 10 earned runs in 11 innings pitched.

In total this season Matz has allowed four home runs in 22 innings pitched. We’re going with Giants first baseman Wilmer Flores to hit a home run off Matz tonight.

He’s 2-4 against Matz in his career with a home run and two of the three home runs hit by Flores this season have come off left-handed pitching.

Last season Matz gave up a home run every five innings or so on the road so roll with Flores to hit a home run at +600 with other Giants hitters who could hit a home run tonight include J.D. Davis (+560) and Thairo Estrada (+630).
