Chicago Bears Depth Chart Overall 2023
The Chicago Bears are a professional American football team based in Chicago, Illinois. They compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) North division. The Bears are led by head coach Matt Eberflus, who is entering his second season with the team.
The Bears finished the 2022 season with a 3-14 record, missing the playoffs for the second consecutive year. They ranked 28th in total offense and 29th in total defense. They had some bright spots, such as 2nd-year quarterback Justin Fields, who showed flashes of potential throwing for over 2,200 yards and rushing for 1,143 yards along with eight rushing touchdowns.
The Bears made their impact in the 2023 NFL Draft by bolstering up their offensive and defensive lines. They also made moves drafting skill position players in RB Roschon Johnson out of Texas and WR Tyler Scott from Cincinnati.
Here is a look at the Bears’ depth chart for the 2023 season.
Chicago Bears QB Depth Chart
The Bears’ starting quarterback is Justin Fields, who they drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Fields is a talented quarterback who has shown flashes of potential, but he has also been inconsistent. He’s only completed 59.7% of his passes during his career to go along with a 79.7 QB rating.

The Bears’ quarterback depth chart is as follows:
• Justin Fields
• P.J. Walker
• Nathan Peterman
Chicago Bears RB Depth Chart
The Bears could very well go with a 50/50 approach at running back at least to start the NFL season. They signed former Panthers running back D’Onta Foreman after losing David Montgomery to the Lions during the offseason. This will be Khalil Herbert’s third season with the Bears as he rushed for 731 at 5.7 YPC during the 2022 season.
The third-string running back is Roschon Johnson who will be playing his first NFL season out of Texas where he rushed for 554 yards on 6.0 YPC and five touchdowns as a senior for the Longhorns last year. Travis Homer will be a change of pace back who accumulated 231 total yards as a member of the Seahawks last season.
The Bears’ running back depth chart is as follows:
• D’Onta Foreman
• Khalil Herbert
• Roschon Johnson
