Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Matt Olson (+285)

It looks as though the wheels are falling off Pirates starter Mitch Keller allowing 16 earned runs in his last three starts (15.2 IP) as they host the Braves tonight in the second of a 4-game series.

Keller has allowed 13 of hs 18 home runs to lefties on the season so we’ll roll with Matt Olson to hit his 40th of the season tonight.

He’s already hit three home runs in August with 33 of his 39 home runs coming against righties on the season.

Sure Keller has pitched slightly better at home this season but he’s given up a home run at the same rate regardless of location. He’s given up a home run in four straight with seven in total during those starts.

The Braves will be out for revenge after last night’s series opening loss and are looking to bounce back in general losing their last three straight.

Although the odds aren’t the best at +285, take Olson to hit a home run tonight. Other Braves to consider for a home run include Ronald Acuna Jr. (+400) and Ozzie Albies (+480).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Will Smith (+370)

Arizona is in freewill mode riding a 6-game losing streak into their 2-game set against the Dodgers starting tonight.

Brandon Pfaadt gets the start for the Diamondbacks sporting a 8.86 home ERA while allowing opponents to bat .344 at Chase Field.

Let’s roll with Will Smith who we get slightly better odds with to hit a home run and is riding a 5-game hitting streak.

He’s batting .350 against Arizona on the season with a home run and has some work to do if he wants to reach the 24 home run total he achieved last season.

Smith only had one home run in July after hitting five in May and four in June so perhaps he finding his power swing back after already hitting one this month and four in August 2022.

Pfaadt has allowed 14 home in just 44.1 innings pitched on the season including five across his last three starts.

Take Smith to hit a home run tonight at +370 with other Dodgers to consider for a home run include J.D. Martinez (+340) and Freddie Freeman (+360).
