Pitcher Prop Prediction 1: Allan Winans Over 17.5 Recorded Outs (+115)

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Allan Winans is 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 14 strikeouts across 11.1 innings of work. Winans scattered nine hits and three walks due to recording 16 groundball outs.

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Touki Toussaint is struggling in 2023 with a 1-5 record, 4.47 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 51 strikeouts across 50.1 innings of work.

He has fallen short of 16+ outs recorded in 5 of his 7 starts since joining the Pale Hose in mid-June. Toussaint is allowing far too many free passes with 14 walks in only 14.1 innings during his three August outings.

This problem has also been season-long as Toussaint has walked 37 batters across only 50 innings. The piping hot Seattle Mariners are a team that can advantage of this issue as they come to town riding a six-game winning streak.

The Mariners rank 4th in wRC+ and 6th in on-base percentage against right-handed pitching over the last 30 days. They just swept a three-game series against the Houston Astros by a combined score of 19-9.

No hitter has been hotter than Julio Rodriguez who is a staggering 18-27 (.667) in his last five games. Toussaint will have his hands full facing him straight out the gate and if issues free passes, the M’s will make him pay.
