WR Prop Prediction 1: Calvin Ridley, Jaguars OVER 67.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver came back to the NFL with a vengeance in Week 1 with 8 catches for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Ridley hadn’t played an NFL game since Week 7 of the 2021 season after being suspended for sports gambling. He’s clearly locked into the WR1 position with 11 targets and a 97% route participation rate.
Last Thursday night, Amon-Ra St Brown cleared this total against the Kansas City Chiefs with 7 receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown.
L’Jarius Sneed is the best defensive back that the Chiefs have, and he will be lined up in the slot where Christian Kirk played exclusively.
On top of that, the Jaguars have more weapons so there will be less safety help on Ridley. No surprise, another Chiefs game has the highest total of the week at 51 and Travis Kelce should be back in action.
Trevor Lawrence completed 75% of his passes last week and he’s shown that he can go toe-to-toe with elite offenses.
Ridley is clearly his favorite new target, and he will have plenty of opportunities to record 68+ receiving yards in a shootout at home.
WR Prop Prediction 2: Gabe Davis OVER 43.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis is coming off an underwhelming effort against the New York Jets where he caught two of four targets for only 32 yards.
However, he was facing uphill battle against one of the best pass defenses in the NFL that already held him to 33 & 31 yards last season. While the Vegas Raiders have made strides to improve their defense, they are nowhere near the caliber of the Jets.
The Raiders did hold Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos to only 16 points on 177 passing yards last week, but they were without their best receiver in Jerry Jeudy and the Bills possess a much more high-powered offense.
Davis is a home run hitter, and he cleared this total in 9 of his 17 regular season games last season. The Raiders will be making the cross-country trip to Buffalo and no team plays as sharp after that travel.
Davis was clearly frustrated on Monday Night Football as he was only targeted four times in what amounted to a losing effort.
We cashed a ticket on under 46.5 receiving yards for Davis based on his prior performances against the stingy Jets pass defense.
However, Davis is fully capable of clearing this number with one catch and Allen will surely look his way a few extra times after neglecting him last week. Take the over on Davis this week.
