49ers vs Browns Prop Pick 1: Team to Score First / Moneyline Parlay

The undefeated San Francisco 49ers are widely considered the best team in the NFL right now after crushing a contender in the Dallas Cowboys 42-10.

The 49ers are the #1 scoring defense in the NFL, allowing only 13.6 points per game. They also rank #2 in rushing yards allowed with only 64.2 per game.

This will put the Browns in a precarious position as their starting quarterback Deshaun Watson remains on the shelf with a shoulder injury. In Week 4 the Browns only managed to score 3 points on 166 total yards behind backup quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

Now it’s former Carolina Panthers quarterback PJ Walkers turn and that can’t inspire much confidence as he was their 3rd option.

The 49ers have scored first in all five of their games while Cleveland has scored first in two of their four games. However, those scores came on 42 & 48 yard field goals by Dustin Hopkins.

The 49ers are favored by 10 points in this contest and based on the limitations of the Browns offense I’m stunned that we are getting a -130 line on a score 1st/Money Line. 

49ers vs Browns Prop Pick 1: 49ers to Score 1st / Moneyline (-130)

49ers vs Browns Prop Pick 2: Jerome Ford UNDER 36.5 Rushing Yards -115

Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford has run for 186 yards on 50 carries while falling short of this total in three of four games. Ford showed a flash of brilliance with a 69-yard run in his first action filling in for Nick Chubb, but he has only run for 117 total yards on the other 49 carries.

Things have gotten really bad during the last two weeks as Ford has run for a combined 44 yards on 19 carries for averages of 2.9 and 1.8 yards per carry.

Ford lacks the vision of Chubb, and he has been contacted at or behind the line of scrimmage on an unthinkable 66% of his carries, the worst rate in the league.

Backup running backs Kareem Hunt and Pierre Strong have each had 5+ carries during the last two games as the Browns attempt to right the ship with their running game.

The San Francisco 49ers defense ranks 2nd in rushing yards allowed with 64.2 per game and 3.7 yards per carry. The defense will be able to focus in on the running game as the 3rd stringer Walker won’t be much of a threat with the passing attack.

The Baltimore Ravens held Cleveland to 3 point & Ford to 26 rushing yards and the 49ers defense is far superior. Take the under on Fords rushing prop in what will surely be a defensive battle on Sunday.
