Buccaneers vs Texans Pick: The Betting Analysis

The Buccaneers are 3-4 SU and 4-3 ATS. The Texans are 3-4 SU and 4-3 ATS. Houston is 4-1 SU and 3-1-1 ATS in their L5 meetings with the Bucs. Those games went 3-2 to the under.

Tampa Bay is 5-10 ATS in their L10 games, and all five of their L5 games have gone under, including nine of their L11 on the road. Four of the Texans’ L5 games have gone under, including five of their L5 games against the NFC South.

Tampa went into Buffalo on Thursday night, and though their final second heave almost won them the game, the Buccaneers were outclassed by the Bills, which is not shocking.

What is shocking is how inept Todd Bowles is. Tampa Bay was down 24-10 when they got the ball back with almost the whole field to go.

Tampa ended up wasting most of the clock before scoring with 2:40 left. They ended up getting the ball back and had a good shot at a hail mary, but the lack of urgency by Tampa was terrible.

If they could have scored more quickly, they probably would have had a chance for a real final drive instead of a prayer chucked up toward the end zone. The Bucs went just 4-13 on third down, had 302 total yards, 17 first downs, and no turnovers in the matchup.

Texans Football Preview

The Texans came off their bye and went into Carolina to take on the 0-6 Panthers. The newsletter predicted the under, which was sweat-free, and our LTS pick service predicted the Panthers to cover, which they did.

The Texans defense played well; they had six sacks, allowed just 224 yards, and held Carolina to 5-14 on third down and 1-2 on fourth down.

However, they had a turnover and only mustered up 229 yards themselves. Stroud threw for just 140 yards, and Houston’s leading rusher had just 46 rushing yards.

Buccaneers vs Texans Prediction: The PICK

Now, the Texans host the Buccaneers as 2.5-point home favorites. The spread makes sense here, and we are interested in the total instead.

All five of the Buccaneers’ last five games have gone under, including nine of their last 11 on the road. Four of the Texans’ last five games have gone under, including five of their last five games against the NFC South.

The tech angles are pointing toward the under, and based on what we have seen from both of these teams’ offenses and defenses this year, at under 41 or 40, the under is a good bet.
