Miami Heat small forward Jimmy Butler has fallen short of 6 assists in 8 of 9 games on the season while landing on 6 exactly in the lone game he went over.

The Brooklyn Nets have done an amazing job limiting assists to Butler position as no small forward has recorded 6 assists against them this season.

This list includes Jayson Tatum & Jaylen Brown twice each, Franz Wagner, Paul George and Khris Middleton.

When Butler played the Nets earlier this season, he only recorded 3 assists and also fell short in 3 of 4 head-to-head games last season.

Tyler Herro remains out with an ankle sprain and Butler has averaged only 3.7 assists without him on the court.

All the trends point towards another Butler under on assists tonight against Brooklyn, making it worthy of a play despite the -140 odds.

NBA Player Prop Predictions 2: Mikal Bridges UNDER 23.5 Points (-125) DK

Brooklyn Nets small forward Mikal Bridges has become more of a facilitator this season and has failed to reach 24 points in 8 of 11 games this season.

This includes a game against the tonight’s opponent the Miami Heat on November 1st where Bridges landed on only 21 points. The Heat are a top ten defense in points allowed with only 109.8 per game.

They also rank 8th in points allowed to opposing small forwards with only 20.07 per game. The Nets are playing team basketball and Spencer Dinwiddie stepped up his scoring last game with 29 points on 10-18 from the field.

Cam Thomas and Ben Simmons have both already been ruled out with injury, but Bridges has already fallen short of this total in 2 of 3 games without both players on the court.

Bridges has been a consistent under on points this season and I don’t see that changing against a strong Miami defense tonight in South Beach.
