NBA In-Season Tournament Betting Info

Tuesday night marks the final day for group stage play in the NBA’s inaugural In-Season Tournament. The Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Lakers are the only two teams that have locked up their spots in the eight-team knockout stage, leaving six spots in the quarterfinals up for grabs.

Sixteen squads still have a mathematical chance at advancing to the knockout rounds of the first NBA Cup in Las Vegas next month, but not all teams have an equal shot.

On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks both escaped elimination with wins over the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat, while the Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks all moved into first place with victories.

Of the eight games on Tuesday nights schedule, two are guaranteed to have major ramifications: the Milwaukee Bucks at Miami Heat and the Sacramento Kings at Golden State Warriors. For the Sacramento Kings it’s simple, beat the Warriors and they clinch Group C in the West.

If they lose it gets more complicated as they will need a Minnesota victory along with a tie-breaker scenario. However, the tiebreaker is total points, and they only have a two-point lead over Golden State.

The Warriors need a victory and a Minnesota loss to win Group C, after that it’s tiebreaker scenarios for a potential Wildcard spot.

Warriors vs Kings Expert Prediction

The Golden State Warriors beat the San Antonio Spurs 118-112 on Friday night, improving to 8-9 on the season and 2-1 in the tournament.

The Sacramento Kings are a perfect 3-0 in group play and 9-6 on the season after handing the Minnesota Timberwolves their loss in the tournament 124-111.

The Warriors prefer playing on the road with a 5-3 record compared to a 3-6 record at home, but the Kings have won four straight home games. However, the Warriors have won both head-to-head meetings with the Kings this season.

They won the first time they met, 122-114 without Draymond Green then again by the score of 102-101 when the Kings were without De’Aaron Fox. Speaking of Draymond Green, he will return from a five-game suspension on Tuesday night.

The Warriors have missed his defensive presence, going only 2-3 without him and his return will make things easier for Steph Curry and company to get open looks. Both teams play at a high level on offense as they rank 10th and 12th in offensive rating.

However, the difference will be in the defense as Golden State’s 12th rated defense will get their best defender back in Green.

Meanwhile the Kings rank 21st in defensive rating and they could be playing without starter Keegan Murray who is dealing with a back injury. Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox both have had huge head-to-head games against the Warriors, but the role players have struggled.

The Kings are 1.5-point home favorites with the total set at 236.5. The Warriors are playing to force a three-way tie for 1st place in the West’s Group C and I’m fully expecting another huge game by Curry and an inspired effort by the Dubs with the return of Draymond Green.

Let’s leave the points on the table in favor of the +120 money line with Golden State.

Prediction: Golden State Warriors Moneyline
