First Touchdown Scorer Prop Prediction 1: Zach Moss, Colts First TD (+600 DraftKings)

Indianapolis Colts running back Zach Moss has turned 141 carries into 672 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

He’s also caught a pass for a touchdown, giving him a touchdown in half of his 10 games this season including a first TD against Tennessee.

Now fellow running back Johnathan Taylor is listed as doubtful after undergoing surgery on a thumb injury so Moss will no longer have to compete for carries in the Colts offense.

The Tennessee Titans are middle of the pack in both rushing touchdowns (6) and receiving touchdowns (2) to opposing running backs.

However, the Titans have only scored three first touchdowns (27.3%) this season while the Colts have scored the first touchdown in 6 of 11 games (54.5%). Tennessee has also failed to score a touchdown altogether in three games this season.

Moss has the 2nd most likely odds to score the first touchdown at +600 behind only Derrick Henry and the Titans stagnant offense gives the Colts the edge in scoring first. Let’s make a play on Moss at +600 odds this Sunday in Tennessee.

First Touchdown Scorer Prop Prediction 2: Bijan Robinson, Falcons First TD (+500 or better projected odds)

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson have scored a total of six all-purpose touchdowns this season and four of them have come in his last four games.

Robinson has scored a touchdown in 5 of 11 games this season including a first TD in his opener. As we know, the New York Jets are perfect fade material when it comes to first touchdowns.

They have a league low one first TD (9.1%) and even that was against in equally inept New York Giants team.

The Jets do have a dominant pass defense, but they have allowed five rushing touchdowns and four receiving touchdowns (3rd most) to opposing running backs.

Robinson leads his team in touchdowns, and he is coming off his first two TD game of the season. He will be the favorite to score first in all likelihood, but we should still see odds of +500 or better.

Considering the Jets struggles in scoring, I like our chances with Robinson scoring first regardless of the odds.
