First Touchdown Scorer Prop Prediction 1: Jalen Hurts, Eagles First Touchdown (+350 DK)

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has run for 542 yard and 14 touchdowns on 139 carries so far in the regular season.

Hurts leads all quarterbacks in touchdowns by a wide margin and his 14 rushing touchdowns actually rank him 2nd amongst all players behind only Raheem Mostert.

Only one of those touchdowns was a first touchdown but Hurts has run for his team’s first touchdown in three of his last four games.

The New York Giants are actually the NFLs second worst first TD scoring team, behind only the New York Jets. The Giants have only scored first in 3 of 14 games for a 21.4% success rate.

The Eagles have scored first 8 of their 14 games for a 57.1% success rate. Hurts is the favorite to score first by a wide margin as AJ Brown is next in line at +500 odds.

A Giants player doesn’t show up until 6th on the list with Saquon Barkley sitting at +800. The Eagles are favored by almost two touchdowns, and they will almost surely score first.

Hurts has scored in 10 of 14 games this season and I’m banking on him to continue the hot streak and score first this week.

First Touchdown Scorer Prop Prediction 2: Jayden Reed, Packers First Touchdown (+750 DK)

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed has caught 54 passes for 592 yards and six touchdowns through the first 14 games of his rookie campaign.

Reed has also added an additional two touchdowns on the ground as he’s turned 11 carries into 119 rushing yards for an average of 10.8 per carry.

He’s tied for 2nd behind only Jakobi Meyers for first touchdowns with four on the season. We took a swing on Reed last week and he did score but it unfortunately it wasn’t a first touchdown.

The Packers are one of the hottest first touchdown teams in the league, scoring first in five straight games and 8 of 14 on the season.

The Carolina Panthers on the other hand have been ice cold, failing to score first in five straight games, 7 of their last 8 games and 10 of 14 games on the season.

Chuba Hubbard is actually the favorite to score first with +450 odds with Aaron Jones next in line at +600. However, I prefer to stick with Reed with a sweet price of +750.
