The newly crowned King of Belfast returns to his native city on Saturday, January 27th fresh off a 4-0 record in 2023, with the last one being where he took the mantle of king of the city from fellow Belfast native Tyrone McKenna after a bruising ten-round beatdown of the Mighty Celt back in December.

That fight had Crocker going in only as the slight favorite, with McKenna’s greater experience and ring-savvy leading some to believe he might have too much for the younger fighter.

However, that thought process was quickly put to bed as Crocker put an absolute beating on McKenna over the full ten rounds, showing both McKenna’s toughness in the ring, but also how much Crocker has improved since moving over to Scotland to train under coach Billy Nelson.

For Mexican fighter Jose Felix, he has good memories of coming to Ireland, stopping highly touted Dubliner Gary Cully here in his last fight back in May, and will attempt to make it two from two against Crocker this weekend.

Felix’s next visit to Irish shores ended on a much better note for him however, stopping the previously undefeated Gary Cully inside three rounds to show just how dangerous he can be to unproven prospects.

At 31 years of age and with 47 fights under his belt, the highly experienced Jose Felix presents a huge banana skin to Lewis Crocker this weekend as he showed just how quickly he can derail careers when he took out an even more hyped-up Gary Cully in his home city of Dublin just eight months ago.

However, Lewis Crocker is not Gary Cully, with Cully looking to overwhelm opponents with his volume and range, something Felix could effectively look to counter as Cully openly rushed in on his entry point.

That isn’t Crocker however with the Croc largely fighting like his animal namesake, being a hunter in the ring who is both patient in his attack and extremely deadly once he closes the distance. Billy Nelson, the head trainer of heavyweight Martin Bakole, has drawn that danger quality out of Crocker’s power even further, with Crocker now able to pick his shots a lot more effectively, along with adding a blistering body attack also.

Jose Felix will come to fight no question. He’s not a fleet-footed fighter and comes to trade in the ring, with 31 of his 40 wins ending in knockout.

That however will likely be his undoing as a younger, fresher Crocker has the power to take out anyone who openly looks to stand and trade in the pocket against him.
