Super Bowl First Touchdown Scorer Prop Prediction 1: Isiah Pacheco, Chiefs First Touchdown (+650) DK

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco has recorded 12 total touchdowns including the postseason while now scoring in seven straight games.

Pacheco is tied with the San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey for most first touchdowns among players involved in the Super Bowl with four while also leading the Chiefs with six team-first touchdowns.

The San Francisco 49ers do have a stout run defense and they kept the Green Bay Packers running backs out of the end zone in their first postseason game.

However, they did allow the Detroit Lions David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs to both hit paydirt in the NFC Conference Championship.

While I expect both to play, Rashee Rice and Clyde Edwards-Helaire are both questionable after being limited in practice this week. Pacheco has received a boatload of work in the playoffs with 24, 15 and 24 carries in his first three playoff games.

The 49ers are slightly favored but I fully expect the Chiefs to score first, and Pacheco will surely see work in the red area.

My plan is to split a full unit between Pacheco and Travis Kelce and if Kansas City does score first, we will have a strong chance to collect approximately 3 units.

Super Bowl First Touchdown Scorer Prop Prediction 2: Travis Kelce, Chiefs First Touchdown (+700) DK

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce finished the regular season with 93 receptions for 984 yards and five touchdowns.

Kelce has really turned in on the postseason, catching 23 of his 27 targets for 262 yards and three touchdowns.

However, Kelce finally recorded his first game-first touchdown of the entire season with a 19-yard reception against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game.

Kelce did lead the Chiefs last season with three game-first touchdowns, and he recorded a team-first touchdown with a 22-yard reception against the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round.

The San Francisco 49ers did keep the Detroit Lions tight ends out of the end zone in the NFC Championship game, but the Green Bay Packers Tucker Kraft did score against them in the divisional round.

As mentioned above, Rashee Rice and Clyde Edwards-Helaire are both questionable for this contest and if they are limited that would only increase the likelihood for a Kelce or Pacheco to score first.

Based on the odds, Christian McCaffrey is the heavy favorite, but I expect the Chiefs to score first. Kelce and Pacheco are next in line, so my suggestion is to split a unit between the two and walk away with 3+ units if either scores first.
