Best Home Run Prop Bets | Friday, April 5th

Aaron Judge preps to hit home run prop bets today

The 2024 MLB season has commenced, and who doesn’t love home run prop bets? We expect there to be home runs to start off the season. Let’s take a look at our best bets for players to go yard and start the season on a high note. Here are the best home run prop bets to make for Friday.

The GoldSheet team has just introduced a new product called GoldSheet Lite to help you handicap the NBA, NCAAB and MLB slate each day. GoldSheet Lite is priced between $5-10 each day and features stats, analysis and recommended wagers to help you enjoy a full day of wagering. Use promo code GSLITE50 to take 50-percent off your first GoldSheet Lite issue.

We hit Josh Bell yesterday, Mookie Betts to hit a home run on Tuesday, and we followed that up with Yordan Alvarez going yard Wednesday. Saying we are on fire is an understatement.

Let’s stay hot! Here are our best home run prop bets for Friday’s MLB slate.

Best Home Run Prop Bets – MLB Free HR Props Picks

Aaron Judge (NYY) +235

Only getting +235 on a home run prop doesn’t seem that great, but when you project Judge to hit .4 home runs, there is an edge in this number. In his 2024 Yankee Stadium debut, Judge has a great matchup to hit a moon shot.

Yuesi Kikuchi will take the mound for the Blue Jays. Kikuchi allowed 21 home runs to right-handed batters last season, the ninth-most in the MLB. Judge is 4-20 in his career against Kikuchi, but two of those four hits were home runs.

Judge hit his first home run of the season in the last game of the series with Arizona, so he is officially on the board. He also laced another double in that game, which is a great sign that the former home run champion is heating up.

Kikuchi has been able to get Judge to whiff and strikeout often, but if Judge makes contact, he’s certainly capable of taking him yard, making Judge one of the best home run prop bets to make today.

Alec Bohm (PHI) +625

Alec Bohm hit 20 home runs last season, and nine of them came off of lefties in 155 at-bats. Today, he gets to face a lefty pitcher he has seen well in the past and has issues letting up the long ball.

Patrick Corbin will make the start for Washington today, and Corbin allowed 29 home runs to righties last season, the most in the Majors. Bohm is 8-25 in his career off of Corbin, and two of those eight hits were home runs.

Bohm is home run-less this season, but his one extra-base hit was off a lefty pitcher. Corbin let up two home runs in his first start, so he clearly has not changed much from last season, making Bohm one of the best home run prop bets targets today.
