Over the last four weeks, our NRFI recommendations are 24-14. Is that good? We think that’s good. We split our recommendations Monday, going 1-1, and we are 24-14 over our last 38 bets.

Today, we look to build on our success in the first-inning market. What are the best NRFI bets to make today? Let’s dive in.

Best NRFI Bets Today – Free NRFI Picks

NRFI Prediction 1: New York Mets at St. Louis Cardinals (-110)

The Mets are near the bottom in MLB in first-inning production, averaging .34 runs per first inning. We will continue to back them in the NRFI market as long as the top of their lineup allows. On the road, this number is better at .44 runs per first inning, but they have a tough matchup against Miles Mikolas. Mikolas pitched against the Mets already, and the only allowed two runs all game, including a scoreless first frame.

Jose Butto pitched against the Cardinals that same day, and he was able to secure an NRFI. Butto was tagged for a three-run homer in the 2nd but only allowed one more earned run outside of that. The Cardinals average .43 runs per first inning, and that number drops to .25 when at home.

NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Seattle Mariners at Minnesota Twins (-110)

The Mariners and the Twins are two of the highest strikeout teams in baseball, which is always good for an NRFI. Minnesota is one of the worst first-inning teams in the MLB, averaging .32 runs in the first frame, and they are facing Emerson Hancock, who has had some issues but is still a great young pitcher.

The Mariners are averaging .34 runs in the first frame, but they have been better on the road so far this season. Bailey Ober makes the start for the Twins, and the young pitcher has been great so far. He is not a major strikeout pitcher, but he limits walks, which is major for securing an NRFI.
