J.D. Martinez has been great for the Mets since coming off the IL, and we expect him to go yard tonight. Martinez has two home runs in 18 games so far, and tonight, he gets an amazing matchup against the Phillies. Martinez is batting .286 against right-handed pitching, and both of his homers have come off a righty. Martinez is 7-14 in his career off of Taijuan Walker with a home run, and we expect him to hit the long ball again, making this one of the best home run prop bets on the board.
Last season, Pablo Lopez allowed eight of 20 home runs to right-handed batters. This season, he has allowed two of his four home runs to lefties. Martinez has an average exit velocity of 100.2 against Walker with an average launch angle of 15.9 degrees.
Bryce Harper (PHI) +460
Bryce Harper hit one out against a left-handed pitcher yesterday, and we like him to do the same today. Over his last six games, Harper has just one home run, but prior to that, he had three in three straight games. Two of his ten home runs so far have come against left-handed pitchers, and we expect him to tag a left-handed pitcher today on the road.
Jose Quintana has allowed six home runs so far this season, and lefties have three of those six home runs. Harper is 2-14 against Quintana, with a home run. Quintana obviously owns the matchup, but if Harper can make contact, he can tag him. This one of the best home run prop bets of the day.
