Austria vs France Picks | Monday, June 17 | 3:00PM ET

Austria +490 | France -180 | Draw +330

The most successful team in world football across the last decade, France, will aim to show they’re not quite done yet at the top level with a positive group stage start against a tricky Austrian side on Monday.

Austria is a team who many people have predicted to finish second in this group after an extremely positive qualification campaign saw them finish runners-up behind Belgium, with a competitive 3-2 shootout loss against the Belgians being their only blemish during qualifying.

The Austrians are unbeaten in seven straight since that game as well, scoring multiple goals in all but two of their last nine international matches also.

Despite beating France in just one of their last ten head-to-head meetings against them, Austria may never find a better time in which to rectify that, with a virus currently sweeping through the French ranks that has affected both the manager and talisman forward Kylian Mbappe also who were both kept out of training duty.

Whatever the case may be about some of the French players’ status ahead of this game, it’s nonetheless a concern, even for a team as fundamentally loaded as France are.

France beat Austria 2-0 the last time these two nations met back in September 2022 in the Nations League, but we don’t see that happening again.

All of the previous three head-to-heads prior to that meeting finished with both teams finding the back of the net, and given the current form of both teams heading into this one, we believe there’s a high probability of that happening once again.

Euro 2024 Prediction: Both Teams to Score – Yes (-120)

Turkey vs Georgia Best Bets | Tuesday, June 18 | 12:00PM ET

Turkey -140 | Georgia +420 | Draw +265

International finals debutants Georgia are in high spirits after qualifying for their first-ever major tournament thanks to the efforts of boss Willy Sagnol.

While the Georgians finished 4th during qualifying, it was their Nations League performance that enabled them to gain a playoff place, something which they readily took advantage of, eliminating Greece in the playoff final on penalties in a result that came as a pretty big shock to many.

The Georgians however aren’t intent on stopping there, and Willy Sagnol may be eyeing up potential points on the board in this one, especially facing a team in Turkey that has gone winless in five straight international games heading into this tournament.

On top of that, despite being second favorites to progress from this group, Turkey have historically been incredibly slow starters at major tournaments, losing their opening game in all of their five major finals appearances, with four of those five games seeing the Turks fail to even register a single goal also.

Turkey will know that stat simply has to change here if they’re going to have any chance of progressing from this group, especially with the Czech Republic and Portugal waiting for them on deck.

However, even without the slow starts in the opening games of major tournaments, a whopping 78.6% of all Turkey’s goals in international finals have come in the second half of games, and we’re not about to buck that trend here.

Take Georgia to frustrate Turkey early in this one and keep them off the scoreboard in the first half.

Euro 2024 Prediction: 1st Half – Spain to Score? Yes (-101)

Scotland vs Switzerland Picks | Wednesday, June 19 | 3:00PM ET

Scotland +340 | Switzerland -120 | Draw +260

It’s fair to say the Scottish have had better days at major tournaments after getting thrashed 5-1 by hosts Germany in their opening game.

The Germans were rampant in Friday’s matchup, going up 2-0 inside the first 20 minutes before Ryan Porteous was sent off near the end of the first half for Scotland in a horrible tackle which enabled Germany to take a 3-0 lead into the break.

Two more goals were added in the second half as the Germans ran out comfortable 5-1 winners and firmly established themselves as one of the favorites for this tournament as a result.

For Scotland however, it’s back to the drawing board in a game they simply must get a result in if they’re going to progress.

Unfortunately for them, they face a Switzerland team that looked very good in their opening day victory against a highly fancied Hungarian side, coming away 3-1 winners on Saturday.

The Hungarians looked labored throughout in that game, while Switzerland looked clinical, and a clinical opponent is probably the last thing this Scottish side wants to see after Friday’s result.

Scotland were completely inept offensively against the Germans, failing to register even one single corner in that game, while Switzerland showed plenty of pressure in their game against Hungary, putting up three times as many corner kicks as the Magyars.

That’s something that’s likely to happen once again in this one, and we’re happy to take Switzerland on the -1 corner handicap line against Scotland on Wednesday.
