Northern Irish sensation Lewis Crocker looks to continue his assault on the welterweight division when he takes on tough campaigner Conah Walker over in Birmingham this weekend.

Crocker just came off a massive beatdown of Jose Felix Jr. in his last fight who was stepping up in weight after he himself came off a shock upset win over the highly-fancied Gary Cully last year.

That momentum will carry him into this one against a West Midlands favorite in Walker, so no doubt the ‘Croc’ will be anticipating a hostile atmosphere come fight time.

Lewis Crocker enters Saturday’s fight as the prohibitive -500 favorite at most books, with Conah Walker coming back at a +350.

World Title Opportunities Looming For Crocker

Stepping up in what was his biggest test to date last December against the highly-experienced Tyrone McKenna, many people were unsure what to expect out of Crocker in his first appearance on a major card, despite the talent level, in the ‘Battle of Belfast’.

However, Crocker didn’t disappoint as despite the fight going off at not much more than a pick ‘em by the time of the first bell, Crocker showed how wide of the mark those odds truly were, thoroughly dismantling McKenna across 12 one-sided rounds.

With a win here, an all-Irish clash against fellow unbeaten welterweight contender Paddy Donovan looks set to take place, with world title opportunities for the winner moving forward.

Conah Walker Aiming To Silence The Critics

With two losses across three fights between 2022-2023, Conah Walker’s career seemed to be unraveling at the seams, and he was set up as an almost soft touch in his next fight against former undefeated welterweight prospect Cyrus Pattinson.

However, that ‘soft touch’ mustn’t have got the memo as Pattinson was battered and stopped by Walker within eight highly entertaining rounds, with Pattinson’s corner eventually waving it off and throwing in the towel.

Walker will no doubt be aiming to derail yet another undefeated prospect in his home area this weekend.

Lewis Crocker vs Conah Walker Expert Prediction

Despite an, on the surface, overlooked KO percentage of just 38.46% across his career so far, Conah Walker can crack no question, not only putting Pattinson down three times in their fight, but also the previously undefeated Lloyd Germain three times in his last fight as well.

Under hall-of-fame trainer Ricky Hatton, ‘The Wolf’ has become a lot more aggressive in terms of his style, looking to stand and trade against opponents on the inside, something which has led to his recent success.

However, that approach will likely be his undoing in this one as Lewis Crocker’s bread and butter is to stand and trade in fights, walking opponents down and breaking them apart with heavy hooks and power shots up close.

Crocker is being heavily backed by DAZN and Matchroom, and Walker looks to have been selected based on his aggressive style, something Crocker should feast on.

We’re taking the Belfast man to get the stoppage on Saturday night in a fight that should be extremely entertaining for as long as it lasts.
