Germany vs Denmark Picks | Saturday, June 29 | 3:00PM ET

The first half of the Round of 16 matchups take place this weekend with host nation Germany taking on Denmark in the late-game kick-off over in Dortmund on Saturday.
The Danish went unbeaten through their group stage, which contained, England, Slovenia, and Serbia, but while they were defensively difficult to break down across those matches, Denmark’s own attack often floundered against those same opposition defenses, with their goal against Slovenia and long-range effort against England being their only two goals so far across this tournament.
Germany meanwhile have had no such issues in front of nets, scoring eight goals across the competition so far and setting themselves up as the highest-scoring team in Euro 2024.
However, those goals for Germany have slowed down a little across their last two performances, with both Hungary and Switzerland doing a much better job of marshaling the Germans at the back, and the Swiss almost doing enough to get the win in that game and put Germany into second place in the group.
That said, that near slip-up for Germany may have refocused them ahead of the knockout rounds, and their attack remains lethal, with their #1 ranked goals and xG in Group A, also being supplemented with by far the highest number of shots also.
They face a Danish side in this one that while highly experienced across recent tournaments, just haven’t impressed in this one so far, with England allowing them a foothold into the game after taking the early lead against them, something the Germans are unlikely to do.
Take Germany to get their Euro 2024 knockout rounds campaign off to a winning start on Saturday with an outright win and cover against Denmark.

If it’s possible to look absolutely abysmal and yet still handily win a group, then England certainly achieved that with their five points banked and first-place finish over in Group C.
The highlight reels continued for England (or lack thereof) in their last game with a 0-0 draw against Slovenia, something which we tipped up in our previous article at mammoth odds of +800 mainly down to the fact of how inept England has looked in attack so far in this tournament, paired with Slovenia’s under-rated defense.
Now the English take on Slovakia and no more draws will suffice as we head into the knockout rounds of this competition.
The Slovakians definitely shouldn’t be underestimated either, beating Belgium in stunning fashion back in matchday 1, and looking solid against both table-toppers Romania and Ukraine also.
England, through either fortune or favor, now find themselves on the weaker side of the draw by a considerable distance, which is the main reason that despite their poor performances on the pitch so far, they’re still installed as the clear frontrunners for this competition.
However, that so-called ‘easier’ side of the draw presents its own challenges for Gareth Southgate and his players, as with calls for his dismissal already at a fever pitch among fans, one stumble or wrong result for England moving forward should be enough to bring down the axe and severely damage his legacy in charge of the national team.
England have beaten Slovakia in five of their last six head-to-head meetings against them, but that will matter little here.
The Under 2.5 goals is heavily juiced ahead of this matchup, but it’s for obvious reasons given the current form of both of these teams, plus the fact that three of their last four meetings has witnessed at least one of these teams fail to find the back of the net as well.

Spain vs Georgia Picks | Sunday, June 30 | 3:00PM ET
Spain -485 | Georgia +1410 | Draw +570
The lowest-ranked team at this summer’s Euros, Georgia, miraculously booked their place into the knockout rounds of this competition after a 2-0 final matchday victory over first-placed Portugal.
That historic triumph followed on from the Georgians qualifying for their first-ever major tournament in Euro 2024 also, with manager Willy Sagnol likely getting the keys to whatever city he wants in Georgia in the very near future.
While Georgia is no doubt still on cloud nine after what they’ve managed to achieve in this competition, they face a real acid test in the Round of 16 coming up against who many consider the strongest team at this year’s Euros in Spain.
The Spanish topped their group with a perfect record in what was at the start of the tournament at least known as the ‘Group of Death’, containing the highly experienced Croatia, and current holders Italy in it also.
However, Spain quickly put a marker down in that group, securing a 3-0 win over Croatia, plus a 1-0 win over Italy also in a game they dominated.
Goals look to be on the cards once again in this one as Spain’s 15.7 shots per game is amongst one of the highest tallys in the tournament so far, while Georgia continues to play attacking football themselves, scoring in each of their three group stage matches.
Spain faced Georgia twice during qualifying, and beat them conclusively each time, securing 3-1 and 7-1 wins respectively. However, in both cases, Georgia was able to get on the scoreboard, and given their current form, we wouldn’t put it past them from doing so again.
