WNBA Player Props Predictions: Allisha Gray Atlanta Dream UNDER 14.5 Points (-122) FD

Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray is averaging 14.9 points per game, but she’s fallen short of this total in 6 of her last 9 games.

This includes a game against the Connecticut Sun where Gray only scored 9 points on 3-11 from the field despite playing 30 minutes.

Connecticut allows the least points per game (72.8) while ranking 2nd in defensive rating. They also allow the fewest opponent three-point attempts which is where Gray does most of her damage.

The Sun also play at the WNBA’s slowest pace, and they are playing the back end of a back-to-back after overtime.

Rhyne Howard leads the Dream in points per game and she is out with an ankle injury. That could lead to additional shots for Gray but the Suns suffocating defense will be more focused on shutting her down.

The Dream have averaged only 69.7 points in their last three games and Connecticut already held them to 50 points in their first meeting.

That doesn’t leave much room for Gray score 15+ points. Gray only scored 8 & 9 points in recent games against elite defensive teams in Minnesota & New York and I’m fully expecting a similar result tonight.

WNBA Player Props Predictions: Dearica Hamby Los Angeles Sparks OVER 15.5 Points (-120) FD

Los Angeles Sparks forward Dearica Hamby is averaging 17.8 per game on the season and she’s scored 16+ points in 14 of her 17 games (82%) on the season.

The includes a showdown with the Phoenix Mercury where she scored 23 points on 9-12 from the field and 3-3 from beyond the arc.

The Mercury allow the 3rd most points with (84.8/game), 4th most second chance points (13.22/game) and most three-point attempts (28.3/game).

In recent games, Phoenix has allowed similar forwards to clear this number including Breanna Stewart (28 points), Napheesa Collier (23 points) and A’ja Wilson (32 points).

Hamby was able to score 20 points in her last game despite playing the New York Liberty who have two lock-down defenders in Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones. Now she gets to face a vulnerable defense that she’s thrived against in the past.
