Best NRFI Bets Today – Free NRFI Picks

NRFI Best Bet Today #1: Washington Nationals at New York Mets

The Nationals are averaging .27 runs in the first frame, which is the worst mark in baseball, and we are going against them. So far this season, they are averaging .21 runs in the first frame on the road. The Mets are pitching left-hander Jose Quintana, who has pitched well at times this season. He has a .280 xwOBA and a .245 xBA against the current Nationals’ roster.

The Mets put up .44 runs per first frame, which is in the middle of the pack for the MLB, and we are fading them today. They are averaging no runs in the first inning over their last three games, so we expect their lack of offense in the first to keep up. The Mets score .40 runs in the first at home, which is a slight decrease. They are facing righty Jake Irvin, who has a .230 xwOBA and a .176 xBA against the current Mets’ roster.

NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Colorado Rockies at Cincinnati Reds

After cashing with these two teams yesterday, we are going back to the well today.

The Rockies are averaging .52 runs in the first frame, which is 10th best in baseball, but we are going against them. So far this season, they are averaging .43 runs on the road. The Reds have a hitter’s park, which is helping us get a better price. Nick Lodolo makes the start for the Reds, and he has a .293 xwOBA and a .232 xBA against the current Rockies roster.

The Reds put up .37 runs per first frame, which is near the bottom of the MLB, and we like them not to score in the first. They are averaging no runs in the first inning over their last three games, and this is a tough matchup. The Reds score .43 runs in the first at home, which is a slight increase, but we are fading. They are facing righty Cal Quantrill, who is having a Renaissance season. He has poor metrics against the current Reds’ roster, but we expect improvement based on the season he is having.
