2024 Wyndham Championship Course: Sedgefield Country Club
Sedgefield is a short Par 70 that traditionally plays very easy, but this year the weather is going to be an issue so I don’t think we’ll see scores get to -20 or lower as rain and wind will definitely be a factor on Thursday and Friday.
There isn’t much to this course as fairways are a bit narrow, but with the soft conditions, the ball should land and not roll off into the rough much.
The greens will be soft as well so hitting the greens becomes easier, and it will be about proximity to the hole. The two Par 5’s are short, and as always with these easy courses, it comes down to who has the hot putter.
2024 Wyndham Championship Favorite Holes
Hole 2: 418 yard Par 4
I love the approach shot on this hole and the green as everything runs to the right, and just to the right of the green is a creek. Any approach shot that fades to the right is dead. This easy hole should be birdie or par at worst, but anything right is bogey or worse.
Hole 12: 231 yard Par 3
This green is pretty fun as it has two tiers, and if the pin placement is on the front players are going to have to play it careful as shots that come up short will roll back down into the fairway making an awkward yardage for up and down. Land it on the wrong tier, and a two putt par can be difficult. There will be bogeys on this hole.
Hole 18: 500 yard Par 4
Drives should land just before the hill to avoid a tough downhill lie coming into the green. With the soft conditions, this hole becomes tough, and bunkers and a tough green make the second shot no guarantee. It’s a great finishing hole as birdie or bogey can be scored.

2024 Wyndham Championship: Players That Can Trip You Up
Si Woo Kim
He’s priced as a Top 5 guy, and he hasn’t finished inside the Top 5 since June of 2023, and he hasn’t cracked the Top 25 in four straight tournaments.
In the last 3 months, he’s only 13th in total strokes gained in this field, and he only finished 33rd here last year. His putting has been awful the last 3 months at -0.30 which is by far the worst for players priced in the top tier of the field.
It’s not a good field this week, but Si Woo Kim isn’t a guy I’ll be betting on this week as I don’t see much upside, and I see a whole lot of downside.
Shane Lowry
He finished 6th at The Open Championship, which is the most important tournament of the year for him, and The Olympics were a letdown spot and he finished 26th out of 60 players, and I’m not sure how motivated he’ll be this week.
He’s 10th in Fedex Cup points so he doesn’t need a huge finish to boost his position, and his last 2 finishes at this tournament were 51st and 83rd. I’ll be staying away from him this week as he’s priced as a top 5 guy.
Jordan Spieth
He’s priced as a Top 10 guy again, and he’s just not a Top 10 guy. He has 12 straight tournaments without a Top 25 finish, and I’m sure the books won’t give us a great head to head matchup, but they’ll sure try and bait people into betting him outright and Top 10 and Top 20.
His putting the last 3 months is -0.38 total strokes gained, and his approach is +0.05. Not a good recipe for a course where you have to get a lot of birdies to compete.
2024 Wyndham Championship: DraftKings Darlings
Harry Hall $7100
Hall has been in good form recently as he has 5 made cuts in a row including the win at the ISCO Championship so I’ll roll with him to make the cut and get us weekend points one more time. Only worry with him is accuracy off the tee, but the rest of his stats are really good over the last 3 months.
Mackenzie Hughes $7400
Hughes has 4 missed cuts this entire season, and 3 of them were the US Open, PGA Championship and The Memorial…3 of the best fields all year. In tournaments with weak fields, he does well, and he has upside as he’s finished 7th at the Canadian Open, 6th at the Wells Fargo, and 3rd at The Valspar. He finished 16th at The Open Championship and 19th at the 3M Open in his last 2 tourneys so I think he could be a steal at $7400.
Max Greyserman $7600
He’s been on quite the run as his last 6 finishes are: 21, 31, 26, 21, 13 and 2. His putting has been crazy good the last 3 months at +0.58 strokes gained, and at a course that should be easy to hit greens in regulation, I like having a guy who can get hot with
the putter.
Rest Of Lineup: Johnattan Vegas, Aaron Rai, Sungjae Im
