Kansas City Royals vs Minnesota Twins Expert Betting Advice

This will be the third series between these division rivals during the 2024 campaign. The Twins lead the 2024 regular season series 5-2 after winning two of three road games in the season opening series and three of four home games in late May.

Minnesota is wrapping up a seven-game stretch at home after splitting four games against the Cleveland Guardians this weekend while Kansas City is kicking off a six-game road trip after splitting two games with the St Louis Cardinals this weekend.

The Twins are dealing with recent injuries to shortstop Carlos Correa (heel) and starting pitcher Joe Ryan (triceps) leading to what looks to be a bullpen game on Tuesday.

Considering that and the fact that Seth Lugo is on the mound for Kansas City, we have to look towards the Royals in Game 2.

Game 1 is the only game where we actually have lines at the writing of this article, and we are going to take advantage of a great plus money price of +136 on the Twins run line (-1.5).

Brady Singer has struggled at Target Field with a 9.15 ERA across 20.2 innings and Royals pitching has posted a combined 6.10 ERA and 1.52 WHIP during the last two seasons there.

Pablo Lopez has also been very effective in his career against Kansas City with a 4-1 record and 2.41 ERA in five starts against them. Current Royals have smashed Bailey Ober including Bobby Witt going 9-16 with a home run and Salvador Perez going 7-17 with two home runs.

Cole Ragans has held Minnesota in check, but they have hit well against left-handed pitching and the Royals bullpen is very vulnerable.

Kansas City has gone over the total in five straight games while scoring 5+ runs in each of those games. The Twins have pushed or gone over the total in 5 of their last 8 games and they rank #1 in slugging percentage at home so far this season.
