NFL Thursday Night Football Props Prediction: Rhamondre Stevenson, Patriots OVER 16.5 Rushing Attempts (+102) FanDuel

There’s no question that Rhamondre Stevenson is the bell-cow running back for New England racking up 21+ carries in each of the team’s first two games.

His rushing attempts number is set at 16.5 ahead of Thursday Night Football against a Jets team that ranks bottom ten in rushing yards allowed so far this season.

New England’s offense is based around the rushing attack and even though Antonio Gibson led the team in rushing yards last week, that shouldn’t eat into Stevenson’s carries on Thursday night.

In his only game against the Jets last season, Stevenson rushed the ball 19 times for 59 yards and we see a similar situation shaking out in Thursday’s AFC East matchup.

Stevenson is tied for 2nd among all NFL running backs in total rushing attempts so far and the Patriots are 3rd in the NFL in team rushing attempts.

As long as the Patriots don’t go down big early, we should see a consistent dose of Stevenson in Thursday Night Football going up and over 16.5 rushing attempts at plus-money on FanDuel.

NFL Thursday Night Football Props Prediction: Garrett Wilson, Jets OVER 64.5 Receiving Yards (-115) FanDuel

On the flip side of the ball, the Patriots rushing defense ranks second so far on the season so we’ll look to Garrett Wilson going up and over 64.5 receiving yards on Thursday Night Football.

The Patriots secondary just allowed TWO different 100+ yard receivers against the Seahawks last Sunday and although Wilson hasn’t gone over 64.5 receiving yards in either Jets game this season, he’s led all Jets wide receivers in targets with 17 in total.

It’s also worth noting that this will be the Jets first home game of the season where Wilson averaged almost ten more receiving yards per game than road games last season.

Rodgers and Wilson both are due for a breakout game soon, right? Well this seems to be the best early season spot.
