Dante Dowdell should be busy in Nebraska’s Big Ten matchup at Purdue on Saturday with the Boilermakers ranking 3rd to last in all of FBS in rushing yards allowed at 269 per game.

The Cornhuskers are coming off a crushing home loss in overtime to Illinois last week so we can expect them to come out of the gates with a bang as 10-11 point favorites.

Dowdell averaged just 3.6 yards per carry in that game but averages 5.0 YPC on the season with his rushing yards prop number set around 75.5 at the time of this writing.

The Sophomore running back has averaged 18.5 attempts per game against Power 5 opponents this season and the Cornhuskers may want to take some more pressure off freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola who threw an interception and fumbled the ball twice in their loss last week.

In the Boilermakers 38-21 loss at Oregon State last week, they allowed lead back Jam Griffin to rush for 137 yards on 22 carries and don’t be surprised if Dowdell puts up the same type of stat line this week with Purdue allowing 341 yards rushing in total last week.

Take Dowdell to be the catalyst on offense for Nebraska going up and over 75.5 rushing yards on Saturday.

College Football Player Props Prediction 2: John Mateer, Washington State OVER 248.5 Passing Yards (-113) FanDuel

Last week we took San Jose State QB Emmett Brown against Washington State’s pitiful pass defense.

Well, this week we’re riding with the Cougars and QB John Mateer who threw for 390 yards in that game, to go up and over 248.5 yards in their road matchup at Boise State.

He has thrown for 275 yards per game this season with Boise State sitting 8th of 12 teams in the Mountain West in passing yards per game allowed at 232.

In comparison, San Jose State ranks 3rd in the conference at 187 passing yards per game allowed, even after Mateer’s performance last week.

With the total for this game set around 64-65 points and the Cougars heading in as touchdown underdogs, we can expect Mateer to be slinging it all game long in an effort to keep their undefeated season alive.

Take Mateer to go up and over 248.5 yards passing in their Mountain West Conference bout against Boise State.
