NFL Thursday Night Football Props Prediction: Bucky Irving, Buccaneers OVER 44.5 Rushing Yards (-113) FanDuel

Rookie Bucky Irving has been impressive through four weeks of play as the 3-1 Buccaneers head into Atlanta to play NFC South foe Falcons for Thursday Night Football in Week 5.

Irving has rushed for 50 yards per game this season while surpassing Thursday’s rushing yards prop number of 44.5 in three of four matchups.

He now gets a Falcons rush defense that is bottom 10 in the NFL allowing 145.5 rushing yards per game this season. Irving has been a much more effective runner than teammate Rachaad White so far this season averaging 5.8 yards per carry to White’s 2.8 yards per carry.

In last year’s matchup in Atlanta the Buccaneers rushed for 148 yards as a team while Baker Mayfield had just 144 passing yards in a 29-25 win.

In last week’s 33-16 win over the Eagles, Irving notched double digit carries for the first time this season and if he holds true to his 5.8 yards per carry, he’d need just eight carries to get over his rushing prop total for Thursday Night Football.

Look for the Buccaneers to lean on their rushing attack against a vulnerable Falcons rushing defense led by Irving going up and over 44.5 yards rushing in Thursday Night Football.

NFL Thursday Night Football Props Prediction: Bijan Robinson, Falcons UNDER 62.5 Rushing Yards (-115) FanDuel

When it comes to the Falcons rushing attack for this game, Bijan Robinson is battling a hamstring injury which could limit his participation.

At the time of this writing there aren’t rushing attempt props available so we’ll look at going under his rushing yards prop total of 62.5.

Robinson had just 28 yards rushing in last week’s 26-24 win over the Saints as Tyler Allgeier lead the way on the ground with 60 yards rushing. Robinson started the year strong, but has just 59 total yards on the ground over the last two weeks on 23 carries which isn’t the efficiency the Falcons are looking for.

Allgeier is a more than capable backup and the Falcons haven’t been scared to utilize him in the past when Robinson was out or limited in any fashion.

It’s also worth noting in that 29-25 Falcons win in Atlanta last season against the Buccaneers, Robinson had just 34 yards rushing on 10 carries.

This may be a game where Robinson takes a backseat to Allgeier in the rushing game like last week so take him to go under 62.5 rushing yards in Thursday Night Football against the Buccaneers.
