Battle of London on Saturday as West Ham take on Tottenham in a matchup that pairs two wildly inconsistent teams against each other this weekend.

The Hammers have alternated wins, losses, and draws since the season began, with manager Julen Lopetegui struggling in his first season over in East London.

Tottenham have also failed to ignite this season, registering their worst seven-game start to a Premier League campaign in over 16 years, which is a far cry from what people heard from manager Ange Postecoglou at the start of the season stating he “always wins things in his second year.”

That could still turn out to be true however as Tottenham have looked extremely good in patches this season, yet that’s been largely on the offensive end, with Tottenham’s defense looking much worse, with Spurs currently ranking as the joint-third worst side in terms of set-piece goals allowed this season, as well giving up the highest number of opponent chances inside their own 18-yard box also.

Despite all of their problems this season, West Ham have been solid on the road, generating points across each of their three league encounters so far, and that despite going in as outsiders in each of those three road games as well.

Given Tottenham’s defensive issues this season, combined with West Ham’s uptick on the road, we like the value on the Hammers to get at least two goals in this one which pays out at a healthy price in the early kick-off game for Saturday.

Wolves vs Manchester City | October 20 | 9:00AM ET

Wolves +800 | Manchester City -330 | Draw +485

David versus Goliath clash on Sunday as title heavyweights Manchester City take on Wolves over at the Molineux in a game Wolves badly need to get a result in.

The West Midlands club are currently languishing at the bottom of the table right now after suffering six defeats from their opening seven games, including allowing a massive 21 goals across those first seven games as well. That’s not only a league-worst, but also a far cry from what we’ve come to expect from this traditionally solid defensive Wolves team across recent seasons also.

It’s no surprise therefore to see Wolves manager Gary O’Neil currently listed as the second favorite to get fired next in the sack race, with only Manchester United’s Erik ten Hag being listed as a bigger favorite to be relieved of his duties next at the time of writing.

Manchester City have their own issues ahead of this one however, currently sitting a point behind Liverpool at the top of the table and owning -2 goal differential against their Red rivals also.

However, with the Merseyside club facing an excellent Chelsea team this weekend in the game immediately after this one on Sunday, Manchester City will see this game against Wolves as not only a great opportunity to take all three points, and perhaps leapfrog Liverpool at the top of the table, but also provide a massive boost to their goal differential as well, especially against a Wolves side that have looked defensively vulnerable pretty much every time the ball has gone inside their own half this season.

Take Manchester City to hit early and often this weekend in a game we expect them to win comfortably in on Sunday.

Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace | October 21 | 3:00PM ET

Nottingham Forest +135 | Crystal Palace +215 | Draw +230

Former Wolves favorite Nuno Espirito Santo has started life over in the East Midlands in some stellar form this year, with pre-season relegation candidates Nottingham Forest defying expectations so far to sit top-half in the table overall with ten points gained from their opening seven matchups.

That’s largely been the opposite for Crystal Palace this season, with the Eagles starting life on zero wins and just five goals scored across their Premier League campaign so far, the league’s second-worst return in offensive scoring this year.

Eagles manager Oliver Glasner is therefore under immense pressure to find a positive result in this one, and their have been some bright sparks for Palace this season despite all of their relative issues, drawing against both Chelsea and Manchester United in competitive games, as well as narrowly losing to top of the table Liverpool last time out also.

Both of these teams have a history of playing out tight games against one another across previous seasons, with each of their last three meetings in the Premier League ending all square.

We see Monday night’s game ending no differently as Nottingham Forest have simply failed to impress so far at the City Ground this season despite all of the positivity, while Crystal Palace will know they’ll need a result in this one with Tottenham up next on deck for them in the Premier League.

Expect this one to end all square once again on Monday.
