NFL Week 10 First Touchdown Props Prediction: Justin Jefferson Minnesota Vikings (+600) DK

Last week was actually the first time this season that the Minnesota Vikings didn’t score the first touchdown as a team, but they still sit at an impressive 7-1 (87.5%) on the season.

Meanwhile the Jacksonville Jaguars failed to score first again against the Philadelphia Eagles, and they rank in the bottom five with a 2-7 (22%) record.

Justin Jefferson is responsible for two of those first TDs and he’s scored in 5 of 8 games. The Jaguars are tied for the 5th most wide receiver touchdowns allowed (10) and they have allowed the 2nd most passing yards (264.3/game).

They also play man coverage at the 2nd highest rate in the NFL, and we know Jefferson has the skill set to expose that.

The Vikings are favored by -4.5 points, and they have the track to back them scoring first in this contest. Jefferson is tied with his teammate Aaron Jones for odds-on favorite to score first in this game but considering the Jags weakness against the passing game, I’m backing JJ.

NFL Week 10 First Touchdown Props Prediction: Jalen Hurts Philadelphia Eagles (+500) DK

Jalen Hurts has now scored a touchdown in three straight games with a total of 6 touchdowns during that time span.

Hurts still hasn’t recorded the first touchdown yet this season but the Philadelphia Eagles have struck first in 6 of their 8 games (75%) while the Dallas Cowboys have only scored first 3 times in 8 games (37.5%).

The Cowboys have allowed the 3rd most rushing yards per game (147.8/game) and more importantly they have allowed three quarterback rushing TDs as Brock Purdy, Lamar Jackson and Derek Carr have all found the end zone.

Hurts did score a touchdown in two games against his division rival last season against a Dallas run defense far superior to what we have seen this year. Philadelphia is favored by -7 and they have a much better track record in jumping out in front early.
