Everton vs Liverpool | December 7 | 7:30AM ET

Everton +615 | Liverpool -230 | Draw +375

Arne Slot’s Liverpool freight train was finally slowed down in midweek as they were held to a 3-3 draw on the road against Newcastle.

In what was a fairly even game overall, with Newcastle having the better of the early going, Liverpool were nonetheless able to go into a crucial 3-2 lead late on thanks to the efforts of this season’s Premier League top scorer Mo Salah, with the Reds seemingly doing enough to register all three points as a result.

However, Newcastle weren’t to be denied, with Fabian Schar’s late equalizer just moments from injury time giving the Magpies a share of the spoils.

However, that’s been only the third time all season that Liverpool have dropped points across any Premier League game, and the first from a winning position as well, so it’s hardly something that Everton fans can take a whole of optimism from ahead of this weekend’s big Merseyside derby.

Everton smashed Wolves 4-0 in midweek, but they hadn’t won a game in five previous league encounters prior to that, with the Toffees averaging by far the lowest xG per shot ratio out of any team in the league this season, both overall and at home.

Everton also ranks third-from-bottom in the league in chances allowed inside their own six-yard box at home, and that’s something you just won’t be able to get away with against this punishing Liverpool side, a side that has averaged the highest number of shots on target per game this year.

Take Liverpool to get the win and cover on Saturday against Everton.

Premier League Prediction: Liverpool -1.25 (-105)

Tottenham vs Chelsea | December 8 | 11:30AM ET

Tottenham +185 | Chelsea +125 | Draw +285

Big London derby on deck for Sunday as the Blues of Chelsea travel to the north part of the city to take on a Tottenham side that is still struggling for consistency this season.

Whether Spurs can find that here on Sunday is another matter however as Tottenham have lost four of their last five against Chelsea in this ground across recent seasons, including a heavy 4-1 defeat last November.

Tottenham however do have the ability to hurt Chelsea in this one, demolishing Manchester City 4-0 just a couple of weeks ago, as well as ranking top two in the league this year in both total goals scored at home, and counter-attacking goals also.

The problem for Spurs in this one is their defense, which has kept just one clean sheet across their last eight games across all competitions, and they face a team this weekend in Chelsea who knows how to find the back of the net, scoring in seven straight games heading into Sunday’s matchup, as well as putting five goals past Southampton in midweek also.

Despite Tottenham’s own offensive pedigree in the league, no team has scored more goals this season than Chelsea have, averaging 2.21 GPG (compared with Tottenham’s 2.15 GPG), and their goals scored from open play dwarfing Tottenham’s also, with Chelsea averaging a mammoth 1.43 GPG from open play this season, while Tottenham have averaged just 1.00 GPG from open play by comparison.

We’ll trust those offensive numbers for Chelsea in this one, and with the Blues being the more defensively responsible of these two teams on top, we’re happy to side with Chelsea on Sunday on the current draw no bet line.

Premier League Prediction: Chelsea +0 [PK] (-125)

West Ham vs Wolves | December 9 | 3:00PM ET

West Ham -105 | Wolves +275 | Draw +285

Wolves slumped to an incredibly disappointing 4-0 road loss on Wednesday against Everton, not only breaking Everton’s own dismal five-game winless streak, but also handing Wolves their second consecutive opponent four-goal haul in a game, with manager Gary O’Neil now understandably being priced as low as +125 at some books to be the next manager to go in the Premier League.

The West Midlands faithful however will get another opportunity to redeem their failing fortunes on Monday night against a West Ham side that are embroiled in some serious turmoil of their own after suffering yet another heavy defeat against Leicester on Tuesday.

That defeat to Leicester for West Ham followed on from a heavy 5-2 loss against London rivals Arsenal last weekend also, a game in which manager Julen Lopetegui supposedly had a huge altercation in the dressing room with some of his own players, and it seems now like only a matter of time until the Spanish coach leaves his post in East London.

However, this Wolves team is a side that Lopetegui knows all too well, managing them for one season between 2022-23, and that familiarity could lead to Lopetegui sensing an opportunity in this one in a game that both teams really need to improve defensively in.

Wolves, despite their lopsided recent scorelines, have actually been doing just that of late, especially away from home, with Wolves ranking second in the league in defensive xGA on the road since November 1st.

On top of that, this is a fixture that has tended to underperform in the goals department across recent seasons, with at least one of these teams failing to find the back of the net in all of their previous eight encounters at this ground.

Take Under 3 goals on Monday night in the matchup between Wolves and West Ham in East London.

Premier League Prediction: Under 3 (-120)
