NFL Divisional Round First Touchdown Props Prediction: Jahmyr Gibbs Detroit Lions (+400)

Jahmyr Gibbs finished the regular season tied with James Cook and Derrick Henry for the most rushing touchdowns (16) while scoring in 13 of 17 (76%) games including four first touchdowns.

It looks like David Montgomery may return after missing three games, but I can’t imagine he sees a full workload as his MCL injury originally threatened his season.

The Lions are well rested, and they are favored by -8.5 points with the highest total of the weekend at 55.5 so there will be plenty of scoring opportunities for the high volume running back.

NFL Divisional Round First Touchdown Props Prediction: Saquon Barkley Philadelphia Eagles (+390)

Saquon Barkley led the NFL in rushing yards (2,005) during the regular season while also recording 15 anytime touchdowns.

More importantly, he led the Philadelphia Eagles in first touchdowns with five. Barkley failed to score a touchdown during Wild Card weekend against the Green Bay Packers, but he did record 119 yards on 25 carries for an average of 4.8 yards per carry.

Barkley also recorded a season high 302 all-purpose yards with two touchdowns against the Los Angeles Rams at home during a 37-20 victory in Week 12.

Los Angeles did only allow nine running back rushing touchdowns on the season, but they did allow the 5th most running back rushing yards (116+/game) and 3rd most running back rushing attempts (25+/game).

The Eagles will have the advantage scoring first in general as 6-point favorites while scoring first in 13 of 18 games (72%) compared to the Rams who scored first in only 6 of 18 games (33%). The Rams may also start slow due to a 3:00 Eastern start after a cross-country flight.
