Food City 500 Track: Bristol Motor Speedway

Bristol Motor Speedway, located in Bristol, Tennessee, is a 0.533-mile concrete oval known for its steep banking and stadium-like seating, earning it the nickname “The Last Great Colosseum” .

The track features 24 to 28 degrees of banking in the turns, which contributes to its high-speed, close-quarters racing. With a seating capacity of up to 146,000, it offers an electric atmosphere for fans.

Bristol hosts two major NASCAR Cup Series races annually: the Food City 500 in the spring and the Bass Pro Shops Night Race in the fall.

In recent years, drivers like Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson have found success here; Hamlin won the 2024 Food City 500, while Larson dominated the 2023 Bass Pro Shops Night Race.

The combination of its unique layout, intense racing, and passionate fanbase makes Bristol a standout venue on the NASCAR circuit.

Food City 500 Head-to-Head Prediction

Chase Briscoe -115 over Joey Logano

Logano hasn’t really put it together this season so we’ll continue to fade him. He has one Top 10 finish in the last eight races.

Briscoe has three Top 10 finishes in the last seven races, and Briscoe beat Logano head-to-head in both Bristol races last year.

Logano has been feast or famine in the past few years which is fine for this format for making the playoffs as bad finishes aren’t punishing, and winning is the name of the game so Logano will have a lot of mediocre finishes and eventually a win when we least expect it.

However, I haven’t seen the upside to him this season so we’ll fade him this week with Briscoe.

Food City 500 Top 10 Prediction

Alex Bowman +115

Bowman has had 2 bad finishes in a row at Martinsville and Darlington, but I like him to get back to his Top 10 ways this week.

Before Martinsville and Darlington, he had 5 straight Top 10 finishes, and he finished Top 10 at both Bristol races last year. I’m still high on the Hendricks cars right now so we’ll back Bowman at plus money here.
