Best Home Run Prop Bets – MLB Free HR Props Picks
Nick Castellanos (PHI) +480
Nick Castellanos rides a modest four-game hitting streak into the Phillies’ home game against the Nationals today who are sending lefty MacKenzie Gore to the mound.
Castellanos has feasted on lefties in recent history belting a home run every 15 at bats against lefties last season and one every 34 at bats against righties.
It’s translated to this season so far as Castellanos sports a .645 slugging percentage against lefties this season compared to just a .361 slugging percentage against righties.
The Phillies’ outfielder has also thrived at home batting .304 with a .543 slugging percentage at Citizens Bank Park compared to a .263 average and .368 slugging percentage in road games.
It’s been 13 games since Castellanos last hit a home run so he’s due and he is 7-22 with two home runs lifetime against Gore.
The Nationals’ starter has allowed a .313 opponent batting average in road games compared to a .161 average allowed in home games and has allowed a home run in three of his last five starts.
Take Castellanos to hit a home run at +480 with other Philadelphia hitters to consider for a home run being Bryce Harper (+340) and Trea Turner (+450).
MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Pete Alonso (NYM) +370
The Mets got the bats going yesterday putting up 19 runs in their win against the Nationals as they return home where they’ve gone 12-1 straight up this season to host Eduardo Rodriguez and the Diamondbacks.
Pete Alonso has a hit in nine of his last ten games although he hasn’t hit a home run in his last eight games despite slugging .659 this month.
Alonso doesn’t have a hit in six career at bats against Rodriguez, but is batting .350 with a .650 slugging percentage against lefties this season.
Last season against Arizona Alonso batted .269 with a .731 slugging percentage with Rodriguez going 5.1 innings allowing five earned runs including a home run against the Mets last season.
Look for Alonso to get his power going today hitting a home run at +370 odds with other Mets bats to look at for a home run include Francisco Lindor (+450) and Brandon Nimmo (+750) who had two home runs and nine RBIs yesterday.
