Sacramento Kings vs Chicago Bulls Analysis
Both the Kings and the Bulls got to rest on Sunday, and now the Bulls have traveled across the country to take on the Kings in Sacramento. The Bulls are looking to win their third-straight game while the Kings are on a four-game skid.
This is the second and final matchup between these two teams this season and their first meeting was in mid-February. The Bulls were at home for that contest where they won and covered the spread.
Sly Like a Fox
Since their questionable trade deadline moves, there has been only one bright spot for the Kings, and that is point guard D’Aaron Fox. He is the leader of their team and is coming off a 41-point night on Sunday.
Besides for Fox’s play, there is not much to get excited about for the Kings. They are 2-8 in their last ten games and are allowing opponents to average 120 points per game over that stretch. The Kings are 11-11 this season as home underdogs and are 4-3 as home underdogs of 4-6 points.
Running of the Bulls
The Chicago Bulls have had a great season thus far with Demar DeRozan playing the best basketball of his underrated NBA Career. At the moment, the Bulls are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference playoffs. They are just half-a-game behind the Bucks for third, but the Celtics are right on their tracks and only trail Chicago by one game.
If the Bulls want to maintain their positioning in the standings, they must beat inferior opponents like the Kings. The Bulls have been lackluster away from Chicago this season. They are 16-16 in road games and are only 14-18 against the spread.
Sacramento Kings vs Chicago Bulls Prediction
While neither team is particularly hot at the moment, the Bulls need to take this game to put themselves in a better position to maintain their spot in the Eastern Conference standings. Neither of these teams are offensive juggernauts, and the Bulls play hard on the defensive end of the floor.
I am not sure where all the scoring will come from to get us over this 235.5 point total, especially if Domantas Sabonis misses his third-straight game and Zach LaVine sits out for the Bulls. I lean toward the under in this contest, but keep an eye on the injury status of those two players as the game gets closer.
