Minnesota Timberwolves vs Phoenix Suns Analysis

Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns travel to Minnesota Wednesday night to take on Karl Anthony-Towns and the Timberwolves. This is a matchup between two of the hottest teams in the NBA right now.

This is the third and final meeting between these two teams this season. The Suns were winners in both of the previous matchups.

The Timberwolves covered the spread in the first game they played, but they did not cover in their second matchup. The Suns are 1.5 point road favorites tonight and the total is set at 236.

Timberwolves Stay Hungry on Offense

The Timberwolves have been as hot as any team in the NBA lately and a lot of it has to do with the tear Karl Anthony-Towns is on.

Over their last 10 games, Towns is averaging 26.9 points on 56.5% shooting and has willed the Wolves to an 8-2 record.

Over this 8-2 run, the Timberwolves are averaging 127.1 points per game while only allowing opponents to average 109.9 points.

The Timberwolves are currently one game behind Denver for the final Western Conference playoff spot. Minnesota is 24-12 on their home floor but only 6-6 against the spread as home underdogs.

Suns Missing Their Leader

The Suns have been without Chris Paul for a few weeks, and while he is expected to return soon, his absence has barely been realized.

The Suns continue to be one of the best teams in the NBA without Paul and have been nothing short of extraordinary this season. The Suns are 8-2 in their last 10 games, are averaging 121.8 points, and are only allowing 111.6 points per game.

The Suns are remarkable on the road this season and they boast a 28-6 record away from Phoenix. The Suns are 16-10 against the spread as a road favorite and are 5-3 against the spread as a short road favorite.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Phoenix Suns Prediction

The Suns vs the Timberwolves has all the makings to be one of the best games of a packed Wednesday night NBA slate. Choosing a winner in this matchup is tough, but I am going with the home team to pull off the upset.

I recommend taking the Timberwolves +105 moneyline. The Timberwolves are 26-11 since early January, are inspired, and are playing their best basketball. I like the home team tonight.
