Los Angeles Lakers vs Philadelphia 76ers Analysis

* All Lines Provided by DraftKings

The Philadelphia 76ers travel west to Los Angeles for an interconference matchup with the Lakers. The Lakers come home after finishing up a four game road trip 2-2 with a big 131-120 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 76ers begin a three game road trip after winning two of three games at home. Philadelphia beat the Miami Heat 113-106 in their last game, despite playing without James Harden and Joel Embiid.

The Lakers lost the lone head-to-head meeting with Philadelphia 105-87, however Lebron James didn’t play and James Harden was yet to join the 76ers at the time.

This game features some of the top players in the game, so it should be fun to dissect from a team total and player prop perspective.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Philadelphia 76ers Team Totals

The Philadelphia 76ers are favored by seven points with a total of 230.5, setting the 76ers team total at 119.5 and the Lakers at 111.5. These teams are polar opposites when it comes to pace, as the Lakers rank 6th while the 76ers rank 29th.

When James Harden joined Philadelphia the 76ers came out scoring at will, but have been slowed down a bit recently. However the Lakers defense or lack thereof, could be the perfect antidote.

The Lakers allow 114 points a game on average for the season. They have allowed 114 points or more in six straight games, allowing 120 or more in 5 of those 6 games. We will back the 76ers team total over in what should be a track meet.

Team Total Prop Play: Philadelphia 76ers Over 119.5

Los Angeles Lakers vs Philadelphia 76ers Player Props

This game has plenty of great storylines and matchups, like LeBron James and Joel Embiid battling for the season scoring title & Russell Westbrook and James Harden being reunited.

Embiid and Harden should be well rested after sitting out their last game against the Miami Heat. James and Embiid are Immersed in a three-way scoring title battle with Giannis Antetokounmpo that is separated by only a fraction of a point.

Neither team has a defensive answer for Embiid or James, not many do. Both players are going to be hyper aware of how many points the other scores. Both also have a point total set at 31.5 and I like both to go over. Embiid in particular should be able to score at will.

Player Prop Play: Joel Embiid Over 31.5 Points

Los Angeles Lakers vs Philadelphia 76ers Same Game Parlay

This game is ripe for the picking when it comes to a same game parlay. We are going to back both Embiid and James to score 25+ points.

James has scored 25 or more in 10 of his last 12 games, while Embiid has cleared the same total in 11 of his last 14 games.

The Lakers are facing an uphill battle here and I don’t see how they win the game tonight. Adding the 76ers alternate spread at -2.5 gives us a -105 line, which is fine by me as I see all three plays cashing with ease.

Same Game Parlay Play:

Lebron James 25+ Points
Joel Embiid 25+ Points
Philadelphia 76ers -2.5
-105
