College Basketball Props Prediction 1: RJ Davis North Carolina Over 26.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120) DK

North Carolina Tar Heels guard RJ Davis is averaging 21.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists for an average of 27.8 Points + Rebounds + Assists through the first 10 games of the regular season.

Davis has cleared this PRA total in 7 of those 10 games including the last six with 38, 31, 35, 33, 34 and 31 PRA. He is coming off his best game of the season against the Kentucky Wildcats where he scored 27 points on 8-18 form the field along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Oklahoma Sooners play drop coverage which will give Davis plenty of open looks while playing in front of a semi-home crowd in Charlotte.

Davis has minutes have been extremely consistent with 38 exactly in each of his last four games and 35+ minutes in his last six games.

The spread sits at -3 with a relatively high total of 155 so Davis should have every opportunity to play full minutes to push him up and over this PRA total.

St. Johns Red Storm center Joel Soriano is averaging 10.5 rebounds per game while clearing this number in 5 of 10 games on the season.

Soriano has only fallen short of 9 rebounds once in those games and he’s recorded 10, 11 & 13 boards in his last three games.

The Xavier Musketeers have a questionable front-line as Abou Ousmane leads the team with only 5.9 rebounds per game.

The most comparable big man that Xavier has faced was Houston’s J’Wan Roberts who grabbed 12 rebounds against them.

Soriano averaged 12+ rebounds per game last season and a lack of minutes is the only factor that has slowed him down this season.

St. Johns is favored by -6 tonight so we should avoid the dreaded blowout. Regardless Sean Miller and Musketeers don’t have elite rebounding option to contain Soriano and he should clear this total in short order.
