College Basketball Props Prediction 1: Dug McDaniel, Michigan OVER 15.5 Points (-115) DK

Michigan guard Dug McDaniel has averaged 21 points and 6.3 assists on 52.6% shooting from the field through the first four games of the season.

The sophomore has cleared his points total of 15.5 in all four games with 20, 26, 16 and 22 points. The streak actually dates back to last season as he’s cleared this number in six straight games overall.

During the last two games he’s barely left the court, playing 38 and 39 minutes, pushing his minutes per game average to 34.3.

The Wolverines are currently 3-1 and they are coming off their first loss of the season to Long Beach State University.

McDaniel and company will be locked in against 3-0 Memphis Tigers team that has yet to face a guard the caliber of McDaniel.

The Wolverines have played with a free-flowing offense and the total is one of the highest on the board at 156. The game is also basically a pick’em, so McDaniel should see full minutes in a high scoring game that will push him up and over this total.

College Basketball Props Prediction 2: Lance Jones Purdue UNDER 10.5 Points (-115) DK

Purdue Boilermakers guard Lance Jones is averaging 9.2 points per game on 40% shooting from the field through the first five games of the 2023-24 campaign.

The senior has fallen short of his points total of 10.5 in 3 of 5 games while landing on 13 and 15 in the other two games.

Jones is coming off a bruising battle against the Tennessee Volunteers where he set season lows in points (4), field goals (1) and field goal attempts (4) despite playing a season high 31 minutes.

The Boilermakers displayed poor guard play across the board, shooting only 8-32 (25%) while committing 28 turnovers. Guard play is a strength for Marquette including Big East Player of the Year Tyler Kolek and Kam Jones.

Lance Jones has also been ice cold from three-point range where he has shot 3-12 (25%) in his last three games.

Jones production is on decline, and this will be a matchup that will also keep him busy on the defensive side of the court. Look for another under tonight at Marquette.
