Tennessee vs Arizona Predictions

This is a matchup of two powerhouse teams. Tennessee has yet to lose at home but are coming off of an extended break while Arizona is undefeated on the season and is just busting teams left and right like a juggernaut. Here is my breakdown and betting advice for this game.

Arizona’s season is off a great start with several statement wins including wins over Illinois, Michigan and Wichita State. Benedict Mathurin is averaging 17.4 PPG and 6.5 RPG on 58.3% shooting. For a big man that is impressive. Arizona has one of the best big man front courts in the country with 6-11 Azuolas Tubelis (16.1 PPG, 6.8 RPG) and 7-0 Christian Koloko (13.6 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 3.5 BPG). Arizona ranks #2 in opponent FG% and #4 in blocks.

Tennessee has impressive wins over North Carolina and Colorado. The strength of this team is the backcourt. Freshman guard Kennedy Chandler (14.6 PPG, 5.4 APG) and Santiago Vescovi (13.1 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 3.4 APG). When Tennessee loses, it is mainly attributed to poor outside shooting. They shot less than 17% 3 pointers in their losses.

On the flip side, Tennessee is a great home team and everyone there should be fired up for this long-awaited contest since the game against Memphis was canceled.

This could be the toughest test each team has faced all year and my numbers have both teams shooting well below their normal percentages. Right now the total is 153.5 points, which is far over what my projection is. I have this at 138 points. For that reason, my advice would be to make a play on the under anything 147 or higher.
