This is the second meeting of the season after Arkansas earned a 78-70 road win in Austin on February 5. That final score is extremely flattering for the Longhorns.
Arkansas was up 52-29 with 13 minutes remaining in the second half before Texas scored 30 points over the final eight minutes.
That game featured 21 free throw attempts in the final 2:30 and 62 free throw attempts in total. The Longhorns shot 34.4-percent from the floor in that contest, including 16-for-42 from two-point range. The closing total for that first game was 145 points.
Given how that game played out and the 62 free throws that it took for that game to go over the number, we’re surprised to see Wednesday’s opening total listed higher than that.
