We think Sam Hartman comes on the scene in a big way in college football’s season opener between Notre Dame and Navy kicking off at 2:30pm ET Saturday.

He transferred over from Wake Forest throwing for over 300 yards per game for the Demon Deacons last season with Navy allowing over 250 yards per game in the air as well.

The Midshipmen had the sixth best rush defense in the nation last season and if the Fighting Irish can’t get their run game going early, they may resort to letting Hartman slinging it all over the field like he did for Wake Forest.

Sure Notre Dam has some in experienced pass catchers on their roster but if they have enough time of possession, Hartman should have no problem going over this 237.5 passing yards prop number.

Brian Newberry steps in as a first year head coach for Navy in which he plans to add more passing into the mix which should help limit time of possession for them. Take Hartman to throw for over 237.5 passing yards in Notre Dame vs Navy on Saturday.

Week 0 College Football Player Props Prediction 2: Sieh Bangura Over 65.5 Rushing Yards

Ohio sophomore running back Sieh Bangura capped off 2022 with a 25 carry 138 yard performance in the Arizona Bowl against Wyoming as the Bobcats will open 2023 against another Mountain West Conference team in San Diego State.

Bangura went over this 65.5 rushing yard marker in eight of 12 games last season and missed this number by single digits in two others.

He averaged 90 rushing yards per game with the Aztecs allowing 129 rushing yards per game in 2022. Bangura was actually a better runner on the road than at home last season averaging 5.2 yards per carry with eight touchdowns compared to 4.4 yards per carry and five touchdowns at home.

Ohio QB Kurtis Rourke is starting but coming off a knee injury in which the team may lean on Bangura more so than not to lead them down the field on offense. Take Bangura to go up and over his 65.5 rushing yard marker in Saturday’s Ohio vs San Diego state game starting at 7pm ET.
