Week 1 College Football Player Props Prediction 1: Shedeur Sanders Over 212.5 Passing Yards (-115)

The Coach Prime Era kicks off on Saturday as Colorado heads to Fort Worth to take on TCU. His son Shedeur Sanders gets the start at QB for the Buffaloes with a whole new looking Colorado offense.

His passing yards number is set at 212.5 as he hit this number in 10 of 12 games as Jackson State’s QB last season.

Now, obviously we don’t think Colorado will seriously compete to win this game but we are expecting Sanders to sling it at least 40 times given Colorado should be down in most of this game.

As long as the Buffaloes can keep it within the line of 21, Coach Prime shouldn’t feel the need to pull his son out of the game for any reason giving him as much experience as possible out of the gates in FBS play.

It may take until late in the 4th quarter but Sanders should generate enough pass attempts to get him up and over the 212.5 passing yard marker on Saturday against TCU.

Week 1 College Football Player Props Prediction 2: Austin Jones Over 0.5 Rushing Touchdowns (-130)

Austin Jones only had six carries last week in the team’s 56-28 win over San Jose State but two of those six carries went for touchdowns.

They get a Nevada team that allowed 166 rushing yards per game and 23 rushing touchdowns in 2022. We assume that the team still wants to take it easy with Caleb Williams and his rushing attempts as he failed to get to positive number in last week’s route of the Spartans.

Sure MarShawn Lloyd out carried Lloyd last week with nine but he averaged 4.7 yards per carry compared to Jones’s 9.0 yards per carry.

USC should have no problem taking care of the opposition again this week and if/once the Trojans get near the goal line, expect Jones to get his chances to punch the ball in.

USC should top 50 points once again this week and if that’s the case, Jones should be responsible for at least six of those points via a rushing touchdown.

Take him to cross the goal line once again in their non conference matchup against Nevada at The Coliseum on Saturday.
