  • Mississippi State is 1-5 against the spread in SEC home games under head coach Mike Leach.
  • Liberty is 13-1 against the spread in the Flames’ last 14 games.
  • UNLV is 0-5 straight-up and against the spread at Allegiant Stadium over the last two seasons.
  • Kentucky is 17-10 against the spread as an underdog since 2016.
  • Southern Miss is 5-14 against the spread in the Eagles’ last 19 games.
  • Miami is 6-13 against the spread in the Hurricanes’ last 19 games.

College Football Week 7 Injury Notes

  • Akron QB Kato Nelson was injured against Bowling Green and had to be replaced by freshman Zach Gibson, who led the Zips to a second half comeback en route to a 35-20 victory.
  • Arkansas State QB James Blackman didn’t play in the second half against Coastal Carolina on Thursday, leaving backup Layne Hatcher to finish the contest.
  • Florida State fifth-year senior offensive lineman Devontay Love-Taylor was seen on crutches with a walking boot after last week’s game against North Carolina. Love-Taylor has made over 25 starts in his career at Florida State and Florida International.
  • Georgia QB JT Daniels and WR Jermaine Burton each missed last week’s game against Auburn.
  • TCU QB Max Duggan, WR Quentin Johnston and RB Zach Evans are all questionable for Saturday’s game against undefeated Oklahoma.
  • Indiana QB Michael Penix Jr. is expected to be out for a few weeks, handing the reins to redshirt sophomore Jack Tuttle.
  • LSU leading WR Kayshon Boutte will miss the rest of the season.
  • Maryland has been battling a cluster injury in their secondary with Jakorian Bennett, Kenny Bennett and Deonte Banks all missing time this season.
  • Nevada WR Romeo Doubs (First team All-Mountain West last year) was held out last week and is listed as questionable for this week’s game against Hawaii.
  • Oregon RB CJ Verdell will miss the rest of the season.
  • Rutgers QB Noah Vedral was knocked out of last week’s game against Michigan State, but he is expected to return.
  • Penn State QB Sean Clifford was knocked out of last week’s game against Iowa, and his status is unknown.
  • San Jose State QB Nick Starkel did not play in the Spartans’ loss to Colorado State.
  • Wake Forest RB Christian Beal-Smith did not finish last week’s game against Syracuse.
