In the new era of the SEC with Texas and Oklahoma as incoming members, you really can’t draw up an easier schedule than the one Missouri will face in 2024. The Tigers avoid Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss and Texas. They catch Texas A&M at the beginning of the year when the Aggies are welcoming in a new coaching staff and they have a bye week before hosting Oklahoma.
Our power ratings have the Tigers favored in ten of their 12 regular season games, including eight games as a double-digit favorite. DraftKings has released Games of the Year lines on four contests involving Missouri this season. From a power ratings perspective, our numbers align very closely with DraftKings’ opening point spreads.
- Missouri +4 at Texas A&M
- Missouri -9.5 vs Auburn
- Missouri +8.5 at Alabama
- Missouri -3.5 vs Oklahoma

Missouri Football Returning Production
Missouri is projected to return 14 starters from last year’s squad: Eight on offense and six on defense. Per ESPN’s Bill Connelly, the Tigers are expected to return 71-percent of their production from last season: 82-percent on offense and 61-percent on defense.
Returning quarterback Brady Cook threw for 3,317 yards last season while completing 66.1-percent of his passes. Top receiver Luther Burden III caught 86 passes for 1,212 years and nine touchdowns last year.
Missouri attracted the No. 21 class of incoming talent (freshman plus transfers), highlighted by a pair of top-50 transfers: Offensive lineman Cayden Green from Oklahoma and cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. from Clemson.
After last year’s 11-win season, head coach Eliah Drinkwitz had to fend off poachers that were surrounding his coaching staff. Most of the offensive pieces have remained in place, but the defensive staff has largely been rebuilt. New defensive coordinator Corey Batoon joins the Tigers’ coaching staff after three seasons at South Alabama.
