NCAAB Close Game Report for Wednesday, February 21

• UNC-Greensboro closed as a -4 home favorite over Western Carolina and won by six.
• The total in the Chattanooga vs Wofford game closed at 147 at most shops, and the final score landed on 146 points.
• The total in the Drake vs Belmont game closed at 155.5 points at most shops and the final score landed on 153 points.
• South Florida closed as a -6 road favorite at UTSA and won 66-61.
• The total in the Loyola-Maryland vs Navy game closed at 131 at most shops and the final score was 69-62.

NCAAB Upset Report for Wednesday, February 21

There were some big ones, including Illinois’ last-minute collapse at Penn State and Kentucky losing on a buzzer-beater at LSU.

• St. Bonaventure closed as a six-point road favorite at La Salle and lost 72-59.
• Illinois closed as a 7.5-point road favorite at Penn State and lost 90-89. The Illini blew a 14-point lead in the second half, including a seven-point lead with a minute remaining.
• Cincinnati closed as a 10.5-point home favorite over Oklahoma State and lost 80-76.
• Xavier closed as a -5 home favorite over Providence and lost 79-75.
• Kentucky closed as a -6 road favorite at LSU and lost 75-74 on a buzzer-beater.
• Winthrop closed as a -9 home favorite over Presbyterian and lost 78-55.
• USC-Upstate closed as a -5.5 home favorite over Charleston Southern and lost 63-60.

NBA Injury Report for Thursday, February 22

• LeBron James (LAL) is out tonight against Golden State.
• Domantas Sabonis (SAC) is doubtful tonight against San Antonio.
• Donovan Mitchell (CLE) is questionable tonight against Orlando.
• Jamal Murray (DEN) is expected to play tonight against Washington.
• Brandon Ingram (NO) is questionable to play tonight against Houston.
• Fred VanVleet (HOU) is expected to play tonight against New Orleans.

#783 / 784 St. Thomas at North Dakota State Over 137.5

Oddsmakers have a tough time pricing St. Thomas’ games because the Tommies play at such a slow pace, but they are ruthlessly efficient. The Tommies enter Thursday playing at the No. 350 pace in the country, but they are top-40 in the country in effective field goal shooting. St. Thomas’ last ten games have seen an average of 149.7 points per game, and that includes a 79-66 win over North Dakota State. Eight of the Tommies’ last ten games would have cleared this mark in the mid-130s. St. Thomas is top-25 in the country in three-point shot rate with 46.5-percent of the Tommies’ field goal attempts coming from beyond the arc. Three-pointers account for 37.5-percent of their points this season, which is top-30 in the country. That’s a recipe for success against a North Dakota State defense that is allowing opponents to shoot 36.2-percent from three-point range this season. The Bison’s defense is No. 284 in efficiency, No. 325 in effective field goal defense, No. 346 in forcing turnovers, No. 317 in three-point defense and No. 288 in two-point defense. Seventeen of North Dakota State’s last 19 games against Division-I opponents would have cleared this total.
