Austrian Grand Prix Track: Red Bull Ring

The track is not very big, but it’s full of action. There are 3 DRS zones on this track somehow, and the drivers will go uphill for part of the lap, and then a very quick downhill section with several very tight turns.

The track does promote close racing with tight braking going into turns 1, 3, 4, 9 and 10, and we have to remember that track limits are an issue here in the race, and most importantly in qualifying.

There will most likely be a driver or 2 who end up going into the gravel around the tight turns so there should be some exciting moments.

Austrian Grand Prix Winner Prediction

Max Verstappen -150

Max looked back in his comfortable winning ways last week, and he will do it again this week as long as he doesn’t sputter in qualifying. He won this race by 20+ seconds last year, and while I expect this years race to be closer, I think Max could pull away easily as the Red Bull power on this short track might be too much for everyone else.

Lando Norris is the only one I think who could even come close to keeping up, but unless McLaren has some tricks up their sleeve or they benefit from a caution, I think Max takes this one.

Austrian Grand Prix Prop Predictions

OVER 18.5 Classified Finishers

Last week on an open course, all the drivers finished the race as everyone seems to have their reliability figured out. Wrecks can happen, and there are certainly some gravel areas that can grab cars, but these guys seem to stay out of trouble on these open circuits.

Obviously in these tight corners anything can happen, and Magnussen and others are always one dumb move away from a wreck, but I think we see another race where drivers aren’t going to push the issue.

I just keep putting this in the article every week there’s a Formula 1 race. Outside of the Australian Grand Prix, Mercedes has finished every race with both drivers in the Top 10. We’ll just keep playing it every race with another parlay piece.

Austrian Grand Prix Top 10 Finisher

Pierre Gasly -140

Alpine showed good speed in qualifying last week as Gasly qualified 7th, and they backed it up with a solid 9-10 finish with Gasly finishing 9 seconds ahead of Ocon.

It was a really great weekend for them so they have to feel good about their cars and drivers as they have put the Monaco disaster behind them.

This is 2 races in a row for Gasly to finish 9th so -140 feels like a nice price to take him once again to get points.
